Jakarta, 1 October 2025 – The Ministry of Creative Economy welcomed Swargaloka Foundation at Autograph Tower Thamrin Nine, Jakarta, to discuss the upcoming performance of Drayang Kijang Kencana. This production presents a modern wayang drama that blends Indonesian cultural tradition with theatrical musical elements, highlighting the role of performing arts in strengthening the national creative economy ecosystem.
Ministry of Creative Economy received an audience from the Swargaloka Foundation at Autograph Tower Thamrin Nine, Jakarta, on Wednesday (october 1, 2025).
“Kreations like Drayang not only preserve cultural heritage but also create economic opportunities through performance stages, cross-sector collaborations, and tourism. Using a hexahelix approach—which involves government, communities, businesses, academics, media, and youth—performing arts can grow into the new engine of growth from local regions to Indonesia, and even to the world,” said Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene Umar on Wednesday, 1 October 2025.
Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene also emphasized that the performing arts subsector has great potential to become a key driver of economic growth. Meanwhile, Deputy for Cultural Creativity and Design, Yuke Sri Rahayu, highlighted the importance of communication strategies to make artistic works relevant to today’s generation.

“The potential workforce in performing arts is significant. What is needed is to build branding and digital conversations that reach a wide audience. This requires serious effort, and the Ministry of Creative Economy is ready to collaborate to strengthen the cultural ecosystem,” said Yuke.
Acting Director of Visual and Performing Arts, Dadam Mahdar, stressed the concrete support the Ministry can provide.
“Beyond identifying areas where we can provide support, the Ministry is also ready to assist with publicity so that these works gain public attention. It is important to highlight the story’s strength, visual creativity, and the cultural messages conveyed,” Dadam explained.

Meanwhile, Founder of Swargaloka Foundation, Suryandoro, expressed hope that the work could reach wider audiences.
“We want performing arts to grow together, reaching communities across Indonesia and even stepping onto the global stage. We are ready to collaborate and open spaces for synergy so that performing arts can become a national pride,” said Suryandoro.
Through this audience, the Ministry of Creative Economy and Swargaloka Foundation reaffirmed their commitment to strengthen the role of performing arts as part of a strategy to develop a globally competitive creative economy, making it a new engine of growth that showcases Indonesia on the international stage.
