Jakarta, 27 December 2025 — Deputy Minister of Creative Economy / Deputy Head of the Creative Economy Agency Irene Umar inaugurated the Scenic Art Station at BNI City Station, Jakarta, on Saturday, 27 December 2025, as a breakthrough initiative to introduce an art gallery within public transit spaces. This initiative transforms the station from a mere transit point into a space for interaction and a refreshing creative oasis for approximately 65,000 daily users of the Dukuh Atas area.

“We would also like to express our appreciation to the Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta for providing a Transit-Oriented Hub for the 65,000 people who commute through Dukuh Atas every day. We see public spaces as a canvas for all creative economy advocates and for the community present here,” said the Deputy Minister of Creative Economy.
Scenic Art Station is a movement to bring art closer to everyday life. Transportation infrastructure is integrated with human values, allowing public spaces to offer visual, reflective, and emotional experiences for their users amid the fast-paced rhythm of urban life.
For three days, from 27 to 29 December 2025, BNI City Station is presented as BNI City Art Park, which is open to the public. This program is the result of collaboration between KAI and the Ministry of Creative Economy in presenting inclusive and participatory public art works.

BNI City Art Park features a range of creative activities, including an art market, an art playground, interactive art installations, and a design corner. All programs are designed to celebrate creativity, connect ideas, and provide space for local artists and designers fostered by the Ministry of Creative Economy to interact directly with the public. According to Irene Umar, the activation of public spaces through art plays a strategic role in strengthening the creative economy ecosystem.
“The Ministry of Creative Economy is committed to continuously supporting the strengthening of the creative economy ecosystem through the utilization of public spaces as value-added creative spaces, as well as encouraging hexahelix collaboration to bring this vision to life,” stated the Deputy Minister of Creative Economy.
Also in attendance were the Head of the Central Jakarta City Administration Office for Tourism and Creative Economy Shinta Nindyawati, VP of Non-Railway Engineering Widya Sena Pradipta, and Project Director Wilbert Deil.
