Deputy Minister of Creative Economy, Irene Umar, received an audience with event organizer and music production company, Sang Juara Project Limited, at the Ministry of Creative Economy Office, Jakarta, on Thursday (19/2/2026).
Deputy Minister Irene welcomed the initiative of several music festivals integrated with cross-country promotional strategies and digital exposure. Such collaboration aligns with the AKTIF (Creative Acceleration) Music program, which promotes an international collaboration approach based on communities (diaspora-based market entry).
“The Ministry of Creative Economy is ready to support the introduction of Indonesian music talents to the global stage through collaborative digital promotion and strengthened networks, so that their potential can gain wider visibility. It would be really good if we have a consolidated calendar for international events so we can promote,” said Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene Umar.
The discussion also highlighted the importance of strengthening data, talent curation, and integrated promotional strategies to enable Indonesian music works to reach global markets in a systematic manner. It further covered trends and genres favored by international audiences, so that Indonesia’s participation in global festivals and platforms can contribute to strengthening national music exports.
