Jakarta, April 24, 2025 – Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene Umar officially opened Megabuild Indonesia 2025, a prestigious business exhibition in Indonesia focusing on building materials, architecture, interior design, and construction.

“We highly appreciate the organization of Megabuild Indonesia 2025, which serves as a platform for industry players to share knowledge and innovation in the fields of architecture and interior design,” said Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene at the Jakarta Convention Center on Thursday, April 24, 2025.
This year’s exhibition carries the themes “Innovating for Sustainable Tomorrow” and “Designing for Inspired Living.” Deputy Minister Irene viewed Megabuild Indonesia 2025 as a golden opportunity to promote innovation and creativity in Indonesia’s architecture and interior design industries, with a focus on green technology and sustainable materials that improve efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
“Megabuild Indonesia 2025 is a strategic momentum to push forward innovation and creativity in the architecture and interior design sectors,” Irene added.
She also expressed hope that the event will accelerate the transition toward a more sustainable and environmentally friendly industry. At the same time, the exhibition is expected to foster an ecosystem that strengthens competitiveness and improves quality of life, while creating new opportunities to enhance the creative economy’s contribution to the national GDP, ultimately supporting the vision of Golden Indonesia.

Meanwhile, Curator of Megabuild Indonesia, Sidhi Wiguna, extended his gratitude to the Ministry of Creative Economy for supporting the 22nd edition of Megabuild Indonesia. He emphasized that the event aligns with the 2030 SDGs agenda, where architects and interior designers are encouraged to continuously enhance their expertise in producing eco-friendly works by utilizing green materials and smart technologies, in line with the theme “Innovating For Sustainable Tomorrow.”
“Megabuild Indonesia is not only about creating economically efficient products but also about reducing carbon emissions, with strong government support and in line with the 2030 SDGs agenda,” said Sidhi Wiguna.
