Jakarta, January 18, 2025 – Deputy Minister of Creative Economy/Deputy Head of the Creative Economy Agency Irene Umar attended the premiere of the film Paddington in Peru. Her presence was a form of appreciation for this creative work.

"I love Paddington in Peru and consider it an extraordinary presentation," said Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene at the film's premiere, held at a mall in Jakarta on Saturday, January 18, 2025.
Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene praised the collaboration between Sony Pictures Indonesia and its partners, which made it possible to bring this internationally acclaimed film from London, England, to Indonesian moviegoers. The event was also attended by Dominic Jermey, the British Ambassador to Indonesia.

"I hope to receive further support from relevant stakeholders to bring more productions like this to Indonesia, given the film’s popularity in London," said Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene.
Meanwhile, Dominic Jermey welcomed the Indonesian premiere of Paddington in Peru. He also expressed the UK's interest in strengthening cooperation with Indonesia in various sectors, including the creative industry, sustainability, science, and technology.
