Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Reveals Digital Collaboration Trends at Bangkit Fest 2025

Jakarta, 17 November 2025 — Deputy Minister of Creative Economy/Deputy Head of the Creative Economy Agency Irene Umar spoke about the dynamics of creative economy collaboration at Bangkit Fest 2025. Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene highlighted the current trends in intellectual property (IP) that can be developed across multiple media platforms.

“When we look at today’s landscape, digital opportunities are truly fascinating. One phenomenon is digital assets creation for multiple platforms. This is a significant opportunity, and the world will see the creative economy as the new engine of growth—driving collaborations that are authentic and build trust,” said Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene during the panel discussion at Bangkit Fest 2025, held at Mangkuluhur Artotel Suites, South Jakarta, on Monday, 17 November 2025.

Bangkit Fest, held for the first time this year, aims to create a melting pot—a space to ignite hope through works, innovation, and collaboration. In a session titled Creative Economy: Collaboration Where Everyone Wins, Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene emphasized that successful collaboration requires clear communication, a shared vision, and a focus on benefits beyond transactional gains.

“Bangkit Fest provides an opportunity for Indonesians to harness technology to increase productivity. Collaboration requires courage to show up and convey a message, even when it contains personal ideals, so it doesn’t become self-serving. Everything should come from the heart—it will be understood and received as such. Once we have the intention and the ethics to do whatever it takes to make it happen, collaboration becomes more than transactional,” explained Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene.

Supporting Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene’s statement, Yovie Widianto, the Presidential Special Envoy for Creative Economy, emphasized that collaboration must start from the heart to build trust and social connections. Once mutual understanding is achieved, the collaboration should aim for economic impact. Yovie also highlighted the importance of collaboration in developing each subsector of the creative economy.

“Indonesia is a superpower nation in terms of culture and creative works. Economically, we must optimize this. The digital sector will be a national strength for the future, as Indonesian talent can maximize available technology to create economic value. Collaboration is also crucial because not all artists or creators can sell their work on their own,” said Yovie Widianto, a seasoned composer with extensive collaboration experience with singers, musicians, and record label owners.

Meanwhile, Jehian P. Sijabat, Founder of Menantea Group and CEO of Mantappu Corp, added that digital collaboration begins when each collaborator understands their role, enabling them to adapt to relevant trends via social media.

“Artists continue to engage and perform through social media content, showcasing their works on various digital platforms so they can be seen, heard, and enjoyed by a wide audience. Ultimately, we discovered that being a content creator can become a full-time job, requiring creative collaboration every day,” said Jehian P. Sijabat, who began his career as a freelance manager and digital marketer behind content creator Jerome Polin.
