Jakarta, 18 November 2025 — The Deputy Minister of Creative Economy/Deputy Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Irene Umar, attended and delivered a motivational talk at the BCA Young Community (BYC) Fest 2025. During the talkshow “Building Purpose-Driven Creative Enterprises,” the Deputy Minister emphasized that the foundation of a sustainable creative business lies in having a clear purpose to generate positive impact for the community, alongside achieving commercial success.

The Deputy Minister stressed that sustainability in creative enterprises does not rely solely on commercial achievements, but also on having a clear purpose, strong values, and tangible benefits for the community. “A strong brand is born from clear intent. Products that carry cultural value, quality, and positive impact will always find space, even amid technological change,” said Deputy Minister Irene Umar during the talkshow at the Ballroom, Hotel Kempinski, Jakarta, on Tuesday, 18 November 2025.
The event featured 28 creative booths and hundreds of young entrepreneurs who are BYC members, providing networking and collaboration opportunities to inspire the younger generation to build purpose-driven creative businesses that deliver real contributions to their communities.

Established in 2014, BYC serves as a networking platform for BCA Solitaire-Priority young clients aged 18–35 and currently has over 11,000 members. BYC Fest 2025, with the theme “Bold Moves, Unleash the Next,” facilitates business knowledge and networking development through interactive stage sessions, workshops, and collaborative activities across the venue.
During the interactive dialogue session, participants discussed challenges ranging from digital marketing and logistics to intellectual property protection. The Deputy Minister highlighted the importance of business professionalization, leveraging export opportunities, and using competition to drive quality improvements. “If local products are strong in the domestic market, the opportunities to enter global markets will be greater,” she stated.

According to BCA Director Haryanto Tiara Budiman, the annual event provides a key moment to strengthen the capacities of young people, build networks, and open cross-industry collaboration opportunities. “BYC Fest 2025 offers a tangible platform for members to learn, innovate, and prepare their creative enterprises not just for profit, but to create real opportunities and benefits,” he explained.

The Ministry of Creative Economy supports the growth of creative enterprises through strategic programs under ASTA EKRAF, aimed at strengthening the foundation and direction of creative business ventures. Support includes expanding access to international markets, enhancing human resource capacity, and protecting intellectual property to ensure local brands can safely enter global markets. These programs are designed so that creative enterprises are not only economically sustainable but also grow in the long term with a clear purpose, ready to compete on the international stage.
