During the discussion, Irene emphasized the importance of offline activation through the Mitra Bukalapak program to enhance brand awareness within the gaming industry. She stated that this concept could help expand the reach of the gaming industry by distributing physical gift cards and game developer assets through Bukalapak's partner stores.
Additionally, Irene raised concerns about the payment system, which remains a challenge across various gaming platforms. She highlighted the need to evaluate existing policies to better align with the industry's current demands. In this regard, Bukalapak is expected to provide relevant data to support more targeted policy-making.

“There needs to be an evaluation of gaming payment system policies so that the Ministry of Creative Economy can better support the digital industry, especially gaming in Indonesia, to compete globally. We are also committed to providing ongoing support, including the establishment of gaming corners in public spaces,” Irene stated.
Bukalapak’s Director, Victor Putra Lesmana, expressed appreciation for the Ministry of Creative Economy’s openness in supporting the growth of the gaming industry and the digital economy. He believes that collaboration between the government and the private sector is essential for strengthening Indonesia’s gaming ecosystem.

“We greatly appreciate this opportunity to discuss and exchange ideas on developing the gaming industry. This industry cannot grow through the efforts of just one party. Collaboration between the government and the private sector is crucial in creating strategic initiatives moving forward,” said Victor.
Victor also pointed out the lack of available data to support public policy-making in the gaming sector. Therefore, he hopes that collaboration between the government and the private sector can lead to more accurate, data-driven solutions. Furthermore, he emphasized the importance of collective efforts in promoting Indonesia’s gaming industry.
