Jakarta, 5 March, 2026 – Dharma Wanita Persatuan of the Ministry of Creative Economy / Creative Economy Agency organized the Creative Bazaar and Ramadan 1447 H Social Service Program as an effort to strengthen fellowship while promoting the empowerment of creative economy MSMEs within the Ministry. Deputy Minister of Creative Economy, Irene Umar, emphasized that this activity represents tangible support for an inclusive creative economy ecosystem grounded in social care.

“ This bazaar is a tangible showcase of our local products. During Ramadan 1447 H, this bazaar—with its carefully curated MSMEs—demonstrates that our local products have leveled up. I appreciate Dharma Wanita Persatuan for combining entrepreneurship with social care. This is the face of our creative economy: inclusive and empathetic,” said Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene Umar while visiting the event held at Gedung Film Pesona Indonesia, Jakarta, on Thursday, March 5, 2026.

Deputy Minister Irene Umar emphasized that strengthening local creative actors, including MSMEs managed by DWP members, is a priority in accelerating the growth of the creative economy as the new engine of growth for Indonesia. The Government is committed to continually expanding market access and production capacity for creative talents across various subsectors through 2029.

In a brief interview after inspecting the bazaar booths, Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene Umar expressed her optimism about the quality of the products on display. According to her, the adoption of modern technology and contemporary design has become a key strength of creative MSMEs today.

“ The creativity I have seen today proves that our MSMEs are ready to level up. I hope this activity brings tangible economic benefits for creative actors and blessings for the beneficiaries of the social service program,” said Deputy Minister Irene Umar.

During the visit, Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene Umar also engaged in dialogue with business actors regarding the challenges of digital marketing and product distribution. She emphasized that the Ministry will continue to facilitate the needs of MSME actors so that their products are not only recognized internally but can also reach wider markets.

In addition to the bazaar empowering MSMEs within the Ministry, the activity also included a social service program dedicated to the behind-the-scenes workers—from cleaning staff and security personnel to drivers—who ensure that office operations run smoothly and comfortably every day.

Meanwhile, Chairperson of Dharma Wanita Persatuan Kementerian Ekraf, Siti Nurjanah Cecep Rukendi, stated that the bazaar featured 24 tenants showcasing flagship products ranging from culinary, fashion, to crafts. She expressed hope that the event could serve as an effective promotional platform while also encouraging entrepreneurs to create competitive products.

“ Through this bazaar, we facilitate 24 selected tenants to provide space for creative entrepreneurs while also offering investment services, creating a balance between the productive sector and financial planning for all creative business actors,” she said.

Through this activity, the Ministry of Creative Economy / Creative Economy Agency together with Dharma Wanita Persatuan continue to promote the creation of a supportive ecosystem for creative economy actors, while also strengthening social solidarity as a foundation for sustainable national economic development.
