Jakarta, 17 August 2025 — The grand finale of the “Karnaval Bersatu Kemerdekaan” took place in a festive atmosphere at the Hotel Indonesia Roundabout, Jakarta, where thousands of spectators gathered to witness a spectacular performance presented by the Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency as the main event coordinator.

The drone show became the main attraction of the evening, accompanied by patriotic songs, a synchronized fountain performance, and a dazzling fireworks display that marked the closing of the celebration series. The fusion of technology, art, and national spirit created a deeply emotional moment while instilling a strong sense of pride among the Indonesian people.
“We want to demonstrate that the spirit of Indonesia’s 80 years of independence is now expressed through creativity and technology. This drone performance is a creation of Indonesian talents, symbolizing unity and optimism for the future,” said Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky.

Approximately 1,400 drones were flown into the night sky to form visual displays depicting Indonesia’s historical journey, from the struggle for independence to the priority programs of President Prabowo Subianto’s administration.
“The concept of this story is to show that our country is extraordinarily rich, to the point that others sought to seize it in the past. Many of our heroes fought with bamboo spears to reclaim independence. And today, President Prabowo is fighting just as hard together with the Merah Putih Cabinet,” explained Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene Umar.

The drone formations illustrated the Proclamation text, the Garuda, bamboo spears, and representations of the President’s six national priority programs: food self-sufficiency, free nutritious meals, public education initiatives, free health check-ups, a national cooperative movement, energy self-sufficiency, and public housing.
