Jakarta, 17 November 2025 — Deputy Minister of Creative Economy/Deputy Head of Creative Economy Agency Irene Umar held an audience with the management of CODA, a global company specializing in digital content monetization and payment solutions. The meeting discussed strategic collaboration opportunities to strengthen Indonesia’s gaming industry, enhance local developer capabilities, and open international market access for Indonesian-made games.
Wakil Menteri Ekonomi Kreatif, Irene Umar, menerima audiensi dari manajemen CODA di Kantor Kementerian Ekonomi Kreatif, Jakarta, Senin (17/11/2025).
“Indonesian developers are exceptionally creative, but without the right monetization strategy, their potential cannot be fully realized. The government is committed to providing access to knowledge, markets, and collaboration so that local games can compete on a global scale,” said Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene during the audience at Autograph Tower, Jakarta, on 17 November 2025.
Founded in 2011, CODA is known for platforms such as Codashop, Codapay, and Coda Custom Commerce. The company serves more than 300 publishers and reaches over 200 million customers worldwide. With support for more than 90 percent of local and international payment methods, CODA is a strategic partner for developers seeking to expand reach and increase revenue.

Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene highlighted that 2026 will be a crucial year for accelerating the gaming industry through local game expansion, large-scale training for young talents, and promoting national IP in international markets.
“CODA serves as a strategic partner capable of supporting the development of Indonesia’s gaming ecosystem. The Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency will facilitate collaboration to ensure local games can grow not only in domestic markets but also gain opportunities abroad,” stated Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene.

She also emphasized that monetization is a key pillar of the gaming industry’s growth. Shane Happach, CEO of CODA, expressed the company’s readiness to support local developers and ecosystem development.
“During Indonesia Game Week, we discussed monetization, which is rarely highlighted. CODA wants to help Indonesian games gain international recognition, including through blogs providing monetization insights and spotlighting local games. Our focus is on supporting the sustainability of developer businesses, enhancing monetization skills through training, and promoting a growth mindset for going international. We are also ready to contribute to industry policy, including the implementation of Presidential Regulation No. 19/2024 on Accelerating the Development of the National Gaming Industry,” said Shane.
