Jakarta, 20 November 2025 — The Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency is exploring a strategic collaboration with PT Havelaar Prakarsa Internasional to support the publication and utilization of the book Indonesia Scene on Screen. Featuring 80 potential filming locations across Indonesia, the book aims to strengthen Indonesia’s promotion as a world-class film and television production destination while attracting investment in the film subsector.
Menteri Ekonomi Kreatif, Teuku Riefky Harsya, menerima audiensi dari PT. Havelaar Prakarsa Internasional di Kantor Kementerian Ekraf, Jakarta, Kamis (20/11/2025).
“Supportive ecosystems such as this book will enhance Indonesia’s appeal to international production houses,” said Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya during a meeting with PT Havelaar Prakarsa Internasional at the Ministry of Creative Economy office in Jakarta on Thursday, 20 November 2025.
The Ministry fully backs the publication and launch events of the book, aiming to leverage it for broader initiatives aligned with the strengthening of the film subsector.
“This collaboration does not stop at publishing. One of our key performance indicators is investment growth, and the film subsector is one of the areas we are actively promoting,” added Minister Riefky.

Indonesia Scene on Screen highlights 80 locations, 18 of which have already been used in international film productions. The book features high-quality photos, detailed location information, film references, and behind-the-scenes stories. It has also been adopted by TVRI, which operates 34 regional stations, expanding the reach of Indonesian filming locations while providing potential production support for both foreign filmmakers and emerging local talents.
Strategic Issues Expert Gemintang K. Mallarangeng explained that publishing is a subsector with significant export potential, particularly in markets with high demand for creative and visual content.
“Publishing is one of the creative subsectors with strong export potential, with primary markets including the United States, European countries, and the Middle East, where demand continues to grow. Regions such as Dubai and Qatar serve as key hubs due to their position as centers for trade and creative content distribution,” said Gemintang.
