Jakarta, July 11, 2025 — The Ministry of Creative Economy supports the collaboration between PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) Persero and Visinema through the Jumbo livery featured on long-distance trains. This collaboration marks a tangible commitment by the government to promote local Intellectual Property (IP) as a driving force of the creative economy in public spaces.
Kemenekraf dukung panggung ekonomi kreatif lewat livery Jumbo di kereta jarak jauh, Stasiun Gambir, Jakarta, Jumat (11/6/2025).
"Featuring the Jumbo character on train livery is not only a creative move but also concrete evidence of how hexahelix collaboration can drive an idea- and innovation-based economy — in this case, a synergy among the government, businesses, communities, and the media," said Fahmi Akmal, Director of Infrastructure Facilities at the Ministry of Creative Economy, in his remarks during the launch event held at Gambir Station, Jakarta, on Friday, July 11, 2025.
The Jumbo livery will appear on two of KAI’s flagship trains: Argo Bromo Anggrek and Argo Dwipangga. Passengers can enjoy in-train visual installations and collect stamps in 10 cities through a special Jumbo edition travel booklet as part of the journey experience. The appearance of Jumbo on long-distance trains represents a strategic move to broaden the reach of local creative works while opening new avenues for the growth of Indonesia’s creative economy.

Jumbo, the film, is the best-selling animated feature in Southeast Asia and a remarkable creation by Indonesian talents. The Ministry of Creative Economy has supported its marketing efforts leading up to its release, while also facilitating collaboration across creative economy subsectors.
This support aligns with the government's ongoing efforts to strengthen the film, animation, and video sectors through talent development. It also enables broader exposure for local IPs among the public.

At the same event, Hadis Surya Palapa, Director of Commerce at PT KAI, stated that this collaboration is a real form of KAI’s support in reinforcing the national creative economy ecosystem. Anggia Kharisma, President of Kids & Family at Visinema, added that this joint initiative reflects confidence in the power of local storytelling to grow and touch people’s hearts.
“Trains are not just modes of transportation, but also platforms of expression seen by millions of eyes every day. We believe trains serve as an effective stage to introduce local IPs to the wider public,” said Hadis.

“We believe the future of Indonesian cinema is not just about screen count, but how stories come to life in meaningful spaces. Jumbo is not just a film, but a travel companion — proof that the power of local narratives can live in public spaces and inspire,” Anggia added.
The Ministry of Creative Economy affirms that the presence of local IPs in moving media like trains is an innovative promotional medium that expands the space for creative expression in everyday life. This effort is part of a larger vision to establish the creative economy as Indonesia’s new engine of growth by creating broader opportunities for local IPs to thrive and strengthening an IP-based creative ecosystem.
