Jakarta, May 21, 2026 – The Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency, through the Deputy for Media Creativity, particularly the Directorate of Music, has implemented the Music Creative Acceleration Program (AKTIF Musik) in North Maluku. The program facilitates the production of music videos featuring regional songs for two selected musicians curated through the program: Alan Darmawan from Ternate and Bams Conoras (Presiden Tidore).
The Ministry of Creative Economy, through the Deputy for Media Creativity, implemented the Music Creative Acceleration Program (AKTIF Musik) in North Maluku together with two selected musicians, Alan Darmawan and Bams Conoras (Presiden Tidore), Jakarta, Thursday (21/5/2026).
The Ministry of Creative Economy views North Maluku as home to many local musicians who are ready to enter the national music industry. Therefore, empowering the creativity of local communities and music groups must be supported with equal access, opportunities, and space to grow toward the global stage, in line with the spirit of the creative economy as a new engine of national economic growth starting from the regions.
“The AKTIF Musik Program reflects the Ministry of Creative Economy’s commitment to strengthening the regional music ecosystem while opening broader promotional and distribution access for local musicians. Through this facilitation, we hope that works from Ternate, Tidore, and North Maluku can reach wider audiences,” said Deputy for Media Creativity Cecep Rukendi on Thursday (21/5).
The music video production process took place from April 9–23, 2026 and involved various local creative talents from North Maluku. Two music videos are scheduled for official release in the near future: “Sambunyi Kuku” by Alan Darmawan on Friday, May 29, 2026, and “Hikayat Moloku Kie Raha” by Presiden Tidore on Monday, June 1, 2026.
The music video for “Sambunyi Kuku” was produced in collaboration with local talents from Ternate and local production house Dodoku. The song explores themes of romance through a visual approach closely connected to the daily realities of local communities.
Meanwhile, the production of “Hikayat Moloku Kie Raha” by Presiden Tidore draws upon the cultural and historical heritage of North Maluku, particularly the unification of the four major kingdoms of Ternate, Tidore, Jailolo, and Bacan. Notably, the fusion of hip hop, modern music, and traditional regional musical elements is expected to resonate strongly with listeners.

The collaboration extended beyond production activities. Together with the Tourism and Creative Economy Office of North Maluku Province, music community discussions were held in Tidore, along with a talk show on creative economy development policies at Fort Orange in Ternate. These initiatives aimed at strengthening the regional music ecosystem received positive responses from local music community leaders, as they were seen as opening collaborative opportunities and capacity-building spaces for local musicians.
On a separate occasion, Director of Music at the Ministry of Creative Economy Mohammad Amin met with North Maluku Governor Sherly Tjoanda to report on the implementation of the AKTIF Musik program and discuss efforts to strengthen the regional music industry. The North Maluku Provincial Government welcomed the central government’s support for local music communities and expressed hope that similar collaborations would continue in the future.
“This is the kind of cross-sector collaboration we aim to realize, creating synergy between regional musicians, local communities, and practitioners from other creative economy subsectors. It is not only about music, but also about building a sustainable creative ecosystem,” said Mohammad Amin.
