Teuku Riefky Harsya attended the closing session of the 2026 National Working Meeting (Rakernas) of Gerakan Ekonomi Kreatif Nasional in Jakarta on Saturday (March 7, 2026).
“For the past seven years, Gerakan Ekonomi Kreatif Nasional, as a strategic partner of the government in the form of a community, has grown into a national movement with more than 38,000 members across 38 provinces and hundreds of regencies and cities,” said Teuku Riefky Harsya, who also serves as Vice Chair of the Advisory Council of the Central Executive Board of GEKRAFS.
The 2026 National Working Meeting (Rakernas) of Gerakan Ekonomi Kreatif Nasional carried the theme “Astakarya: Accelerating Works, Transforming Indonesia’s Economy” and was held over two days from March 6–7, 2026. The event was attended by GEKRAFS leadership from various regions and discussed several strategic issues, ranging from access to financing and intellectual property protection to digital transformation, the strengthening of creative hubs, and the expansion of market access so that Indonesian creative products can gain wider global recognition.
Collaboration between the Ministry of Creative Economy and Gerakan Ekonomi Kreatif Nasional has continued to grow since the signing of a memorandum of understanding in July 2025. Several joint initiatives have been implemented, including the creative month series titled Oktoberkreasi leading up to National Creative Economy Day, as well as facilitating meetings between Indonesian creative economy players and creative communities in Osaka.

Teuku Riefky Harsya also explained one of the government’s key milestones in 2026, namely the preparation of a financing ceiling of up to Rp10 trillion through an Intellectual Property (IP)-based People’s Business Credit scheme. Through this scheme, creative economy entrepreneurs will be able to access loans ranging from around Rp100 million to Rp500 million, with distribution encouraged through cooperation with Gerakan Ekonomi Kreatif Nasional.
“We are working to establish intellectual property as the primary collateral. Currently, it is still in a transition phase, so it is used as supporting collateral while we build trust with financial institutions. To accelerate this process, the Ministry of Creative Economy will form a task force together with Gerakan Ekonomi Kreatif Nasional as the government’s strategic partner,” emphasized Teuku Riefky Harsya.
The Minister also conveyed that the Presidential Regulation on the Creative Economy Master Plan 2026–2045 has been finalized and will soon be enacted. He hopes that Gerakan Ekonomi Kreatif Nasional can play a role in amplifying and disseminating the policy to creative economy players across various regions.
At the same occasion, Chairperson of Gerakan Ekonomi Kreatif Nasional, Kawendra Lukistian, conveyed his organization’s commitment to strengthening the empowerment of creative economy players through eight main programs known as Asta Karya.
“If President Prabowo Subianto has the Asta Cita agenda, we also present Asta Karya—eight programs designed to empower creative economy actors. We are also grateful to the Ministry of Creative Economy for appointing Intellectual Property Appraisers, so that creators’ works can now become collateral to obtain proper access to financing,” said Kawendra Lukistian.

The recommendations are expected to align the steps of creative economy players with the national development vision.
On the same occasion, the Ministry of Creative Economy also received the Best Strategic Collaboration Award from Gerakan Ekonomi Kreatif Nasional as a form of appreciation for the ministry’s synergy and support in strengthening the national creative economy ecosystem.
