Minister Teuku Riefky emphasized the importance of mapping regional needs so that government programs can be utilized optimally.

“We have various programs that can be utilized by regions. What remains is for us to jointly map them so that the interventions carried out align with the needs of creative economy actors in Tomohon,” said the Minister on Tuesday (14/4).

“Local stories are a crucial foundation. From there, they can be developed into various creative products such as films, animation, comics, and performances with economic value,” he added.

During the audience, the Tomohon City Government conveyed several strategic needs, ranging from decorator training, access to financing for creative economy actors, development of creative hubs, to strengthening creative economy institutions at the regional level.

Mayor of Tomohon, Caroll Joram Azarias Senduk, explained that the creative economy potential in his region is dominated by young people who actively develop various creative subsectors, including culinary, fashion, and digital content, supported by community initiatives.

“We see great potential among the youth in Tomohon. They have already been moving independently, but still require support to grow more broadly and sustainably,” he stated.
