Jakarta, 8 January 2026 – The Ministry of Creative Economy / Creative Economy Agency expressed its appreciation for the support of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government in implementing priority creative economy programs throughout 2025. Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya emphasized that synergy between the central and regional governments is key to strengthening the creative economy ecosystem, particularly in a city with a strategic role such as Jakarta.
The Minister of Creative Economy, Teuku Riefky Harsya, met with the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Pramono Anung, at Jakarta City Hall, Thursday (8/1/2026).
The support includes the organization of the Friends of Creative Economy (FCE) Meeting 2025, facilitation of promotional activities for Indonesian comic creators at Singapore Comic Con, as well as collaboration in commemorating the National Creative Economy Day through the Oktoberkreasi campaign. According to Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya, cross-sector collaboration opens global promotional opportunities for national creative actors while expanding international cooperation networks.
“The FCE Meeting held last year proved to attract strong interest from various countries. A total of 500 participants took part in the FCE Meeting, with 300 participants attending in person. We hope this collaboration will continue in the future,” said the Minister of Creative Economy during the meeting at Jakarta City Hall, Thursday, 8 January 2026.

The Ministry of Creative Economy / Creative Economy Agency also supports the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government’s efforts to strengthen Jakarta’s position as one of the top 20 global cities. This is pursued by encouraging more international creative economy agendas to be held in Jakarta as a center for the exchange of ideas, business networking, and promotion of Indonesian creative works.
“As a follow-up to FCE 2025, this year we are committed to organizing the World Conference on Creative Economy (WCCE) in Jakarta. This biennial event can support Jakarta’s position as a global city while strengthening the development of the global creative economy ecosystem,” explained Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya.
The WCCE is designed as a global forum that brings together hexahelix actors of the creative economy to exchange ideas, build collaborations, and strengthen the role of the creative sector as a pillar of sustainable development. The presence of this conference is expected to further enhance the international exposure of Indonesian creative brands.

As part of strengthening creative economy infrastructure, the Ministry of Creative Economy / Creative Economy Agency remains committed to supporting the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government in expanding the activation of public creative spaces, including Jakarta Creative Hub, Taman Ismail Marzuki, the Ancol area, and Jakarta International Stadium. These activations are aimed at supporting the 500th anniversary of Jakarta in 2027, while encouraging the distribution of creative works, public interaction, and the creation of economic value for creative economy practitioners.
Also present at the meeting were Governor of DKI Jakarta Pramono Anung, Deputy Coordinator of Special Staff Yustinus Prastowo, Assistant for Economy and Finance Suharini Eliawati, Head of Bappeda of DKI Jakarta Province Atika Nur Rahmania, and Head of the Tourism and Creative Economy Office of DKI Jakarta Province Andhika Permata.

Meanwhile, Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya was accompanied by Deputy for Strategic Development of the Creative Economy Cecep Rukendi, Special Staff to the Minister for Strategic and Inter-Institutional Issues Rian Firmansyah, and Director of Marketing System Development and Institutional Relations Radi Manggala.
