Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky emphasized that conditions in Aceh Tamiang must be monitored on an ongoing basis, as a number of government centers and public facilities have sustained damage. Therefore, the recovery process must be carried out optimally. He also underscored the importance of stimulating economic circulation within the community so that residents do not merely remain in evacuation tents, but begin to regain productivity from temporary shelters (huntara).
“The Ministry of Creative Economy is committed, through the Ekraf Peduli Program, to supporting post-disaster rehabilitation and reconstruction by strengthening the productivity of affected local creative economy practitioners. We also express our appreciation to the musicians, creative communities, and all parties who contributed to the ‘100 Musicians Heal Sumatra’ movement as a manifestation of solidarity with the community,” Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky added.
The Ministry of Creative Economy is part of the Post-Disaster Task Force in the Economic Recovery sector, working alongside the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises. Previously, the Ministry of Creative Economy facilitated two music concerts involving 100 musicians, ILUNI UI, and related institutions on 7 December 2025 in Bintaro and on 16 December 2025 in Kemang.

Through the Ekraf Peduli Program, food and clothing assistance has been distributed to three affected provinces: Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra. In addition, the Ministry of Creative Economy has designed a six-month recovery program, including Sinema Rakyat and board game initiatives, digital content workshops (storytelling on the progress of rehabilitation and reconstruction), and business literacy programs, including financing relaxation and microcredit (KUR) support.
The locations visited during the assessment included SMP Negeri 1 Karang Baru, RSUD Muda Sedia, the Karang Baru District Evacuation Post, and the Modular Temporary Housing in Aceh Tamiang. Assistance distributed by various parties included rice, school supplies, medicines, as well as support from volunteer health and sanitation personnel, reflecting care for the affected communities.
Under the direction of President Prabowo Subianto, all ministries and local governments are urged to synergize in ensuring that affected communities not only recover physically, but also regain sustainable access to education, healthcare, and adequate housing. The direct visit to Aceh Tamiang demonstrates the state’s swift and tangible presence, from the emergency response phase through long-term recovery.
