Jakarta, 14 October 2025 – The Government continues to support the strengthening of the national animation industry ecosystem in order to expand its market reach. The Ministry of Creative Economy, which places strong emphasis on this sector, provides direction through the enhancement of cross-sector collaboration.
Wakil Menteri Ekonomi Kreatif, Irene Umar, menerima audiensi dari Little Bunns Studio, Jakarta, Selalu (14/10/2025).
“To break the ‘bubble’ within the animation ecosystem, unconventional approaches are needed so that the industry can grow and gain wider recognition, rather than remaining within a limited circle,” said Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene Umar when receiving representatives of animation studio Little Bunns Studio at the Ministry of Creative Economy office on Tuesday, 14 October 2025.
Little Bunns Studio is an animation studio based in Yogyakarta and an alumnus of the 2024 Business Incubation Program of the Industrial Training Center (BDI) Denpasar Animation Cluster. The studio provides animation production services, intellectual property (IP) development, and advertising, and is currently developing its flagship animation IP, Kelly the Bunny.
“We help connect IPs that are already market-ready with various stakeholders, because we do not want to provide support that is merely temporary, but rather ensure that these studios can grow sustainably in the future,” emphasized Deputy Minister Irene.
As an immediate form of support, the Ministry of Creative Economy will facilitate the screening of the Kelly the Bunny film teaser at Lippo Mall Nusantara as part of the National Creative Economy Day series this October. Deputy Minister Irene stressed that this initiative is not merely a showcase of technical capability, but also an effort to open growth opportunities for animation companies.

“We are partnering with several malls, such as Lippo Mall Nusantara, which are equipped with LED screens for the screening of the Kelly the Bunny teaser. This screening is not only a platform to demonstrate technical skills, but also to introduce the capacity of Little Bunns Studio,” explained Deputy Minister Irene.
Deputy Minister Irene also introduced Ekraf Hunt, a digital platform in the form of a curated catalog of works managed by the Ministry of Creative Economy. The platform showcases and promotes the intellectual property (IP) of Indonesian creators through an official website, while also opening access to development and commercialization opportunities at both national and international levels.
Founder of Little Bunns Studio, Fikri Ediputra Cahyanto, welcomed the various collaborative initiatives with the Ministry of Creative Economy. He noted that the meeting opened new opportunities for Little Bunns Studio to expand its network, increase exposure for its works, and explore more strategic partnerships within the animation industry.
“Our goal in creating Kelly the Bunny is to develop an IP character that resonates with audiences, while also conveying positive values such as friendship, environmental awareness, and exploration, particularly to Generation Alpha. To amplify these values, we need government support, and after discussing with Ms. Irene, we are very pleased to gain inspiring ideas to help realize this vision,” said Fikri.

Through this collaboration, the Ministry of Creative Economy reaffirms its commitment to strengthening the national animation ecosystem through facilitation, promotion, and expanded access for industry players. The support provided to Little Bunns Studio is expected to serve as an example of synergy between the government and creative actors in driving the growth and global competitiveness of Indonesia’s animation industry.
