Jakarta, 13 October 2025 – The Ministry of Creative Economy is encouraging the enhancement of digital printing technology skills to boost the added value of creative products. Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene Umar also highlighted the competitiveness challenges faced by the national printing industry, which still receives less exposure compared to overseas players, despite having comparable quality.
Wakil Menteri Ekonomi Kreatif, Irene Umar, menerima audiensi dari PT. Bintang Sempurna, Jakarta, Senin (13/10/2025).
“Our focus is not on selling commodities such as machines from abroad that compete mainly on price, but on creative products with added value. That is why skills are crucial here. I hope the printing industry will continue to improve its skills,” said Deputy Minister Irene during a follow-up meeting on cooperation with PT Bintang Sempurna at the Ministry of Creative Economy office on Monday, 13 October 2025.
As a concrete step stemming from the strategic partnership established between the Ministry of Creative Economy and PT Bintang Sempurna in July, PT Bintang Sempurna showcased sample printed products featuring innovations such as stickers and board games produced using UV ink technology.
To further strengthen exposure, Deputy Minister Irene encouraged collaboration with PT Bintang Sempurna through various strategic platforms, including WCCE, National Creative Economy Day, and Ekraf Hunt, in order to reinforce promotion efforts and strengthen synergy within Indonesia’s printing industry.

“One of the key aspects we want to highlight through these events is Indonesian printing works—products whose quality and output already meet global standards. These platforms allow us to identify further potential for discussion, as they provide opportunities to truly showcase Indonesia’s capabilities,” explained Deputy Minister Irene.
PT Bintang Sempurna is a digital printing solutions provider with more than three decades of experience, recognized for its modern technology and integrated services. Through collaborations with various local intellectual properties, the company consistently delivers high-quality creative products with strong commercial value to the global market.
CEO of PT Bintang Sempurna, Laurensius Candra, stated that Deputy Minister Irene’s vision aligns with the company’s commitment to strengthening the competitiveness of the national printing industry through quality enhancement and innovation.
“I agree with the Deputy Minister that by focusing on quality and innovation, we will not be easily shaken. One example is the development of comics by local creators through collaboration and the use of domestically sourced materials, so that Indonesian creative products gain greater recognition in the global market,” said Laurensius.
