Deputy Minister of Creative Economy/Deputy Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Irene Umar, attends MASA Town Hall 02 at Tugu Kunstkring Paleis in Jakarta on Saturday, June 27, 2026.
MASA Singapore 2026 is scheduled to take place from July 2 to August 10, 2026, in Singapore. Carrying the theme A Sight into the Golden Indonesia Era, the event presents Indonesia as a nation whose culture continues to evolve through creativity, innovation, craftsmanship, and the spirit of gotong royong (mutual cooperation).
Deputy Minister Irene Umar praised MASA Singapore 2026 as a platform that introduces a new narrative about Indonesia through the works and collaborations of its creative talents. She emphasized that the strength of Indonesia's creative economy lies not only in individual talent but also in an ecosystem capable of generating broader collective impact.
"MASA represents a new chapter for Indonesian creativity on the global stage. With our rich cultural heritage and the spirit of gotong royong, we are moving beyond individual talent toward collective impact. Singapore serves as our gateway, and with the support of various stakeholders, we are ready to transform local inspiration into a global movement," Irene said on Saturday.
Irene added that cross-sector collaboration is a key driver of Indonesia's creative economy. Through partnerships between the government, industry, communities, and creators, Indonesia can unlock greater opportunities for creative works to grow and reach wider international markets.

MASA Singapore 2026 not only showcases Indonesian creative works but also demonstrates how creativity flourishes through connection, collaboration, and a shared sense of purpose. The spirit of gotong royong serves as the foundation for building a dynamic creative ecosystem capable of generating lasting collective impact.
The event will feature more than 80 Indonesian brands and creators representing a wide range of creative economy subsectors, including fashion, design, visual arts, music, culinary arts, and hospitality. Through exhibitions, creative programs, and immersive experiences, MASA highlights how Indonesia's cultural heritage continues to evolve into contemporary works with global relevance.
Among its flagship programs, MASA will present an exhibition at Takashimaya Shopping Centre, showcasing the creativity of Indonesia's new generation of innovators. It will also feature the Indonesia–Singapore Orchid Extravaganza at Gardens by the Bay, exploring the relationship between people, nature, and Indonesia's cultural heritage through the country's geographical diversity, traditional architecture, endemic flora, craftsmanship, and representations of its rich wildlife.
Through MASA Singapore 2026, Indonesia aims to create opportunities for creators, brands, and international networks to build meaningful connections and expand collaborative partnerships. The initiative forms part of the country's broader efforts to promote the strength of Indonesia's creative economy while deepening cultural ties and creative collaboration between Indonesia and Singapore.
