At the international event, he delivered a presentation titled From Creative Economy to On-Chain Economy: How Indonesia Is Turning IP Into an Investment Grade Asset. The Ministry of Creative Economy also established a collaboration through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ShardLab Pte. Ltd., a blockchain company from South Korea, for the implementation of a Web3 technology bootcamp called Protocol Camp 2026. The program is designed to train selected digital talents and strengthen the connectivity of Indonesia’s creative digital ecosystem with global networks.
“Indonesia has tremendous potential to develop intellectual property as a digital asset that can be further enhanced through blockchain technology and asset tokenization,” added Deputy Neil.

During the event, Deputy Neil also participated as a speaker in a roundtable discussion titled From Settlement to Tokenized Assets: What Will It Actually Take in Southeast Asia?. The discussion highlighted the importance of regulatory readiness, digital talent development, strengthening the digital asset ecosystem, and robust cross-sector collaboration in driving blockchain-based digital economic transformation across Southeast Asia.
Hojin Kim, Chief Executive Officer of ShardLab, explained that Southeast Asia has now positioned itself not only as a user of digital technologies but also as a center for innovation and product development within the global digital economy landscape.
“This transition is clearly reflected in the shift from traditional economic models to an active digital economy, where the adoption of mobile and QR code-based payment technologies has increased significantly,” said Hojin Kim.
Protocol Camp 2026 serves as an intensive mentorship platform that brings together selected Web3 technology talents from across Asia. This year, Indonesia achieved a significant milestone by securing places for six outstanding talents out of a total of 23 participants from across the region.
