Jakarta x Beauty 2025 Officially Opens, Strengthening the Beauty and Creative Industry Ecosystem

Jakarta, 4 December 2025 – Deputy Minister of Creative Economy/Deputy Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Irene Umar, together with Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, officially opened Jakarta x Beauty 2025 at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) on Thursday, 4 December 2025. The largest beauty exhibition in Southeast Asia carries the theme Future of Beauty and features nearly 300 brands, 70 percent of which are local products, serving as a concrete form of collaboration within the creative industry ecosystem.

Wakil Menteri Ekonomi Kreatif/Wakil Kepala Badan Ekraf (Ekraf), Irene Umar, bersama Menko Perekonomian Airlangga Hartarto, secara resmi membuka Jakarta x Beauty 2025 di Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Kamis (4/12/2025).

“In Jakarta x Beauty, there are many pillars that make up the creative economy ecosystem. From booth design, product design, and local brands, to content creators and jastipers who enliven the event and support sales. This proves that there is no sectoral ego; everyone collaborates to drive the economy,” said the Deputy Minister of Creative Economy during an interview session.

The event, held on 4–7 December 2025, serves as a promotional platform for local brands to expand their penetration into global markets. The exhibition also marks an important momentum for economic movement and the increasingly dynamic development of the creative industry ecosystem.

The Jakarta x Beauty 2025 showcase demonstrates how the beauty industry evolves in tandem with the creative economy. The exhibition consistently attracts jastipers who seek competitively priced products. Design innovations—from unique and appealing packaging to artistic booth arrangements—have become key drivers of a continuously growing creative economy.

More than just a beauty exhibition, Jakarta x Beauty shows how creativity manifests from various angles. The involvement of designers, illustrators, brand owners, creative workers, and beauty enthusiast communities strengthens this industry ecosystem and enhances its potential to generate significant economic impact.

Deputy for Cultural Creativity and Design, Yuke Sri Rahayu, noted that the exhibition presents numerous opportunities for creative industry players to collaborate and build networks.

“In a beauty exhibition, the creative economy emerges from multiple sides. From packaging designers and interior designers to content creators and jastipers. The collaborations that form can expand job opportunities and improve welfare. We hope events like this can continue sustainably so that more creative actors can build networks and create opportunities that contribute to national employment and economic growth,” she explained.

Since it was first initiated by Female Daily in 2017, Jakarta x Beauty has continued to grow into one of the most influential beauty exhibitions in the region. Starting with only 50 brands, the event now features nearly 300 brands in every edition and is even held twice a year.

CEO of Trans Digital Lifestyle Group and Female Daily Network, Putri Tanjung, emphasized that the second edition of Jakarta x Beauty this year was designed to provide a comprehensive experience for visitors.

“In this second event, JxB offers a full experience—not only providing cosmetic products for women, but also for men and children. We are also collaborating with influencers to enhance the excitement throughout the event. In fact, 17 thousand jastipers have joined this exhibition,” Putri revealed.
