Jakarta, February 12, 2025 – Jumbo, an animated film created by more than 200 Indonesian animators, marks the first animated film from Visinema to showcase an original local intellectual property (IP). Targeted at families, this film is expected to become a sustainable local IP.

The official poster and teaser launch of Jumbo was attended by Agustini Rahayu, Deputy for Media Creativity at the Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency. She reaffirmed the government’s support for locally-based animated films like Jumbo.
"We want to cultivate a sustainable cinema-going culture as a form of appreciation for creative economy pioneers. Moreover, this initiative also aims to boost the recognition of local IPs," Agustini explained.

After a long production process, Jumbo’s official poster and teaser were launched on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at XXI Plaza Senayan, Jakarta. Jumbo’s producer, Anggia Kharisma, stated that the film is a manifestation of Visinema’s commitment to providing high-quality content for Indonesian families, particularly children.
"We see this as our responsibility as creators. We have the facilities and the capability to develop meaningful stories for Indonesian children and families," said Anggia during the press conference.

Furthermore, Anggia emphasized that Jumbo is not just an entertaining film but also a project that empowers creative economy players, particularly local animators. With the involvement of over 200 Indonesian animators, Jumbo showcases the nation’s immense potential in producing high-quality local IPs.
According to Anggia, Jumbo is a heartfelt creation and a collective effort entirely crafted by Indonesians. "This is a moment to celebrate a collaborative work as a shared pride," she affirmed.

Jumbo’s director and writer, Ryan Adriandhy, revealed that the film was inspired by a dream to create a warm and relatable story that resonates with real-life experiences in Indonesia.
"Audiences will see the reality of Indonesia on screen. We want to show that this story comes from us, for everyone," Ryan said.
Ryan also hopes Jumbo can become a sustainable local IP that extends beyond just a movie.
"Jumbo is Visinema’s first evergreen IP. We hope that Jumbo will have a long life and lead to more creative works in the future," he added.

Also present at the launch was Seto Mulyadi, Chairman of the Indonesian Child Protection Institute (LPAI), also known as Kak Seto. He expressed that Jumbo makes a positive contribution to fulfilling children's rights to grow and develop.
"This film teaches the importance of family togetherness, parental attention to children, and other educational values. Hopefully, Jumbo will become a meaningful and valuable film for Indonesian children and families," said Kak Seto.
