Bogor, July 1, 2026 – President Prabowo Subianto led the ceremony commemorating the 80th Bhayangkara Day at the Mobile Brigade Corps (Brimob) Headquarters in Cikeas, Bogor Regency. The President emphasized that this year's theme, "The National Police for the People," reflects both the identity of the Indonesian National Police (Polri) and its commitment to serving the nation.

"Security is not merely the absence of crime. It means people can work freely, farmers can plant with confidence, fishermen can safely go to sea, businesses are encouraged to invest, teachers can teach peacefully, children can learn without fear, and communities can worship according to their respective faiths in harmony and mutual respect," President Prabowo said on Wednesday (July 1).
Minister of Creative Economy/Head of the Creative Economy Agency Teuku Riefky Harsya, who attended the ceremony, stated that public security and order are essential foundations for the growth of Indonesia's creative economy. He noted that the National Police's role in law enforcement and public service helps create a conducive environment where creativity, innovation, and intellectual property-based economic activities can flourish.
"The National Police plays a strategic role in maintaining the security that underpins the growth of the creative economy. Through collaboration, digital transformation, and entrepreneurship development, Polri contributes to creating an ecosystem where creative economy players can continue to innovate and grow," the Minister said.

The Minister added that, in supporting national economic growth, the National Police plays a fundamental role in maintaining public security and social stability. Such conditions are critical for accelerating economic recovery while strengthening public and business confidence to continue creating, investing, and innovating.
He also emphasized that the Ministry of Creative Economy will continue strengthening collaboration with ministries, government agencies, and various stakeholders—including security institutions—to accelerate the development of Indonesia's creative industries. The partnership is expected to foster a creative economy ecosystem that is increasingly inclusive, secure, and globally competitive.
Also attending the ceremony were Vice President Gibran Rakabuming; Indonesia's 7th President Joko Widodo; Indonesia's 10th and 12th Vice President Jusuf Kalla; National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo; Speaker of the House of Representatives Puan Maharani; Speaker of the Regional Representative Council Sultan Bachtiar Najamudin; Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Sunarto; members of the Red and White Cabinet; and heads of state institutions.
