Minister of Creative Economy and tvOne Strengthen Collaboration to Support National Creative Economy Ecosystem

Jakarta, 25 August 2025 – The Ministry of Creative Economy is exploring a strategic partnership with tvOne to establish a stronger distribution channel for Indonesian creative products. This collaboration will be realized through a series of programs, such as the Creative Week 2025 festival, talent development for pesantren students, and a special channel dedicated to national films.

Menteri Ekonomi Kreatif, Teuku Riefky Harsya, dalam pertemuan dengan jajaran tvOne di Kantor tvOne, Jakarta, Senin (25/08/2025).

“By collaborating with tvOne, we can create a strong distribution channel through cross-subsector collaboration, ranging from film and creative events to talent development from various regions,” said Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya during a meeting with tvOne management at the tvOne Office, Jakarta, Monday, 25 August 2025.

During the meeting, both parties also discussed several joint initiatives, including film industry development, creative events, empowerment of pesantren students, as well as the health and beauty subsectors. One of the programs proposed by tvOne is Creative Week 2025, a major event presenting seven priority subsectors of the creative economy: culinary, crafts, fashion, games, applications, film, animation, and music. The program consists of creative product exhibitions, creative labs, business matching, and award ceremonies.

The Minister of Creative Economy considered this initiative aligned with the ministry’s mission to encourage the creation of collaborative creative spaces across generations and regions.

“Events like this are highly relevant to our mission of strengthening the creative economy ecosystem and can be implemented through collaboration with various partners, including the utilization of existing partnerships established by the Ministry of Creative Economy with our strategic stakeholders,” said the Minister of Creative Economy.

In addition, tvOne also introduced the Kabar Santri program, designed to highlight pesantren as centers of creativity development. The Minister noted that this concept aligns with the Santri Kreatif program conducted by the Ministry of Creative Economy.

“The Kabar Santri program is very interesting and in line with our Santri Kreatif program, in which students are equipped with skills as voice-over artists and content creators. Moving forward, this program could potentially be jointly developed with tvOne and the Ministry of Religious Affairs so that its impact reaches pesantren across the regions and enables students to become talents driving the creative economy,” explained the Minister of Creative Economy.

Meanwhile, General Manager Marketing Ahmad Rifai Bachtiar emphasized the importance of seeing pesantren not only as religious education centers but also as potential ecosystems to support the growth of the creative economy. He noted that the large number of pesantren and students in Indonesia represents a considerable untapped potential.

“Sometimes we overlook the tremendous potential of pesantren: more than 4.2 million students across 33 thousand pesantren. Through Kabar Santri, we see pesantren, especially modern ones, as potential channels, including for the development of creative economy activities that are increasingly growing within the pesantren community,” Ahmad explained.

At the same occasion, General Manager News Wahyu Kustyanto also presented the development plan for the One Cinema program, which will bring national films to television broadcasting. The program is expected to serve as a promotional platform and appreciation for the growth of Indonesia’s film industry.

“Looking ahead, we aim to create a mutually reinforcing symbiosis between television media and the film industry. With support from the Ministry of Creative Economy, we hope filmmakers can also see media as one of the effective promotional tools, allowing the development of future collaborative programs,” Wahyu said.

As a national news television station, tvOne is known for consistently presenting factual reporting, receiving various awards, and having a broad broadcasting reach across Indonesia. This track record serves as important capital in building collaboration with the Ministry of Creative Economy to strengthen positive narratives and open greater promotional opportunities for Indonesian creative products.

Accompanying the Minister were Expert Staff for Marketing System and Infrastructure Septriana Tangkary, Acting Head of Bureau for Communication Kiagoos Irvan Faisal, Director of Television and Radio Pupung Thariq Fadhillah, Ministerial Media Expert Rocklin Aprilius Anderson, and Ministerial Expert for Media Issues and Public Opinion Hasbil Mustaqim Lubis.
