Jakarta, 27 March, 2026 – The Minister of Creative Economy/Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Teuku Riefky Harsya, reviewed creative spaces and the integrated Blok M area as a hub for creative economy activities during the Eid holiday period. The Minister of Creative Economy expressed great enthusiasm upon observing the vibrant flow of visitors within the creative economy ecosystem that has developed in Blok M, particularly in the culinary subsector.
The Minister of Creative Economy, Teuku Riefky Harsya, sampled one of the culinary offerings while reviewing the creative spaces and the integrated Blok M area as a center of creative economy activities during the Eid holiday period in Jakarta on Friday (March 27, 2026).
“I directly observed the dynamic public activities, creative spaces, as well as the integration of the Blok M area as a hub for community movement, particularly for creative economy players in the culinary subsector,” said the Minister of Creative Economy while in Blok M on Friday, March 27, 2026.
The presence of the Minister of Creative Economy in Blok M reflects the central government’s support for a node of creative activity that is considered to have strong potential to grow as a meeting point for interaction, collaboration, and cross-subsector innovation. The Minister of Creative Economy added that the Ministry of Creative Economy has collaborated with the Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta as a strategic partner capable of revitalizing creative areas through various activations. The latest transformation of the Blok M area, supported by accessible public transportation connectivity, has made it a favored destination for visitors to spend their time during the 2026 Eid holiday.
“Blok M is not merely a shopping center, but also a showcase space for the ideas, products, and creative expressions of the younger generation and creative economy players in Jakarta, given its strategic location, ease of access, and its role as a gathering point for communities as well as a hub for subculture development,” added the Minister of Creative Economy.

The visit by the Minister of Creative Economy began with an observation of SMA Negeri 6 Jakarta Selatan, which consistently produces high-quality graduates each year, including the Minister of Creative Economy. The visit then continued with a review of the MRT Blok M BCA bridge area, Blok M Hub, OO Donut outlet, Nasi Dendeng Minang Pride restaurant, as well as Filosofi Kopi.
The spirit and creativity of creative economy players serve as a positive driving force behind the growth of the creative economy in Jakarta. The Ministry of Creative Economy is committed to supporting local brands in scaling up and gaining recognition at the global level.
“With the potential of each creative economy subsector, we can develop the Blok M area into a business district.
