Minister of Creative Economy Appreciates IdeaFest 2025 for Continuously Serving as a Collaborative Space for the Creative Industry

Jakarta, 31 October 2025 – Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya expressed his appreciation for IdeaFest 2025. He stated that IdeaFest has consistently served as a platform that opens opportunities for the creative industry to continue innovating and creating.

Menteri Ekonomi Kreatif, Teuku Riefky Harsya, memberi sambutan pada acara IdeaFest 2025 yang berlangsung di Jakarta International Convention Center (JICC), Jakarta, Jumat (31/10/2025).

“We appreciate IdeaFest 2025 as an agenda that never stops presenting creativity, innovation, and collaboration. We are proud that for the past 13 years, IdeaFest has consistently provided a meeting place as well as a sharing space that offers opportunities for collaboration among Indonesia’s creative economy players,” said Minister Teuku Riefky when attending the opening of IdeaFest 2025 at the Jakarta International Convention Center on Friday, 31 October 2025.

IdeaFest 2025 carries the theme (Cult)tivate the Culture. The presence of Minister Teuku Riefky also reflects the Ministry’s support as a follow-up to the audience meeting held on 25 April 2025.

“The theme raised this year is able to reflect our efforts to bridge creativity rooted in cultural heritage with continuous innovation and adaptation without losing identity,” said Minister Teuku Riefky.

IdeaFest 2025 takes place from 31 October to 2 November 2025, presenting a creativity festival that brings together local and global visionaries across industries, sparking collaboration that shapes culture. The IdeaFest 2025 program includes IdeaTalks, IdeaFest X, and the Creative & Food Market by Semasa. A total of 600 speakers and 200 discussion sessions will enliven this annual event.

“The Ministry of Creative Economy will continue to encourage the birth of innovation and creativity in various forms to strengthen the position of the creative economy as a new engine of national economic growth. We see IdeaFest 2025 as an important platform that brings together creative ideas, develops collaboration, and enhances the capacity of creative economy players to be competitive and global. Thank you to all parties who collaborated and contributed to the success of IdeaFest 2025,” added Minister Teuku Riefky.

The opening of IdeaFest 2025 was enlivened by a performing arts presentation of the Ramayana Ballet Prambanan, showcasing a cultural masterpiece that has become an icon of the archipelago’s beauty and wisdom. This aligns with IdeaFest as a space of inspiration for creative practitioners, artists, and young thinkers in Indonesia to share ideas and spirit that carry the nation’s culture into the future.

“Culture is extremely important and forms the foundation of Indonesia’s creative economy. We are committed to continuing to serve as a hub and platform for creative economy industry players to help stimulate Indonesia’s economic growth. Hopefully, IdeaFest will continue to accompany IdeaFriends in creating ideas, innovation, connections, and collaboration for shared progress and future benefits,” said Desy Bachir, Co-Chair of IdeaFest.

Over the next three days, one of the most anticipated series of IdeaFest events is IdeaTalks, a discussion format that shifts from classroom-style sessions to the main stage, providing structured learning and up-to-date insights into creative industry trends. Speakers who will be present include Indonesia’s 6th President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, Deputy Minister of Culture Giring Ganesha, David van Reybrouck, Angga Yunanda, Happy Salma, Leo Kusmanto, Kyoei Hasegawa, Raline Shah, and many other creative industry practitioners.

Accompanying Minister Teuku Riefky Harsya were Deputy for Cultural Creativity and Design Yuke Sri Rahayu, Director of Architecture and Design Sabar Norma Megawati Panjaitan, Expert Staff for Strategic Issues and Inter-Institutional Relations Gemintang Kejora Mallarangeng, and Expert Staff for Media Hasbil Mustaqim Lubis.
