Aceh, 25 February 2026 – The Ministry of Creative Economy / Creative Economy Agency, in synergy with the Lhokseumawe City Government, organized the Ramadan Bazaar from 25 February to 1 March 2026 at Hiraq Field as part of efforts to strengthen the regional creative economy. The event also serves as a productive interaction space between creative economy actors and the public to encourage inclusive and sustainable economic growth with direct impact on community welfare, while expanding promotional access and market opportunities for local MSMEs.
Minister of Creative Economy, Teuku Riefky Harsya, officially opened the 2026 Ramadan Bazaar at Hiraq Field, Lhokseumawe, Aceh, Wednesday (25/02/2026).
“The creative economy is a driver of the future economy that contributes to regional revenue, creates employment opportunities, drives economic activity, and improves community welfare. This is where synergy and collaboration among all stakeholders are needed to support the 2026 Ramadan Bazaar,” said Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya in his opening remarks.
Teuku Riefky Harsya stated that the organization of the 2026 Ramadan Bazaar serves as concrete evidence of cross-sector collaboration between the Ministry of Creative Economy, local governments, and creative economy practitioners from various subsectors. Carrying the theme “Ramadan Berkah, Ekonomi Kreatif Tumbuh,” the event is aimed at expanding promotional access and market opportunities for local businesses, while strengthening regional economic resilience.

“The Ministry of Creative Economy appreciates the organization of the 2026 Ramadan Bazaar, which is not merely a place for gathering or strengthening ties during the holy month of Ramadan, but also a platform to introduce local brands from Lhokseumawe so they can grow to penetrate the national market and eventually expand into the global market. I hope the Ramadan Bazaar will not remain a seasonal event, but instead become a sustainable movement that strengthens the community’s economy and opens up more business opportunities in the future,” said Teuku Riefky Harsya.
Also present at the event was the Mayor of Lhokseumawe, Sayuti Abubakar, who stated that the activity serves as a momentum for the revival of the MSME creative economy after the disaster, while also contributing to regional economic recovery.
“The 2026 Ramadan Bazaar serves as a momentum for the revival of the MSME creative economy after the disaster, while restoring the pulse of the regional economy as a space for economic activities and the spirit of Ramadan. We express our appreciation and gratitude to the Ministry of Creative Economy for its support and commitment in strengthening and promoting local products from Lhokseumawe and its surrounding areas,” he explained.

The opening of the 2026 Ramadan Bazaar was marked by the beating of Rapai, a traditional Acehnese musical instrument, and enlivened by performances of traditional dances and nasyid. The event continued with the distribution of assistance to 30 orphans. The Minister of Creative Economy, together with the Mayor of Lhokseumawe, also visited several booths showcasing innovative products, while providing encouragement to business actors to continue strengthening community-driven economic movements.
In addition to transaction activities, the 2026 Ramadan Bazaar was also enlivened by various social and religious programs. A creativity and dakwah stage was provided, along with a range of religious-themed competitions such as the call to prayer (azan), short verse memorization, young preacher (da’i cilik), and Tahfiz Al-Qur’an.
