Jakarta, January 14, 2025 – Minister of Creative Economy/Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Teuku Riefky Harsya, continues to encourage the development of the creative economy sector as the new engine of growth. He emphasized that enhancing the quality of local fashion will further showcase the unique identities of local designers.
This message was conveyed during his visit to Parabellum, Jakarta, on Tuesday, January 14, 2025. Minister of Creative Economy Riefky was accompanied by Dessy Ruhati, Principal Secretary of the Ministry of Creative Economy, and Cecep Rukendi, Deputy for Strategic Creative Economy Development.
"This is evident in the choice of colors, materials, and evolving fashion designs, which continuously elevate the quality of local designers while highlighting their distinct identities," stated Minister of Creative Economy Riefky.
He expressed hope that this visit would serve as a stimulus for Indonesia’s local fashion brands to continue growing over time. Dessy Ruhati added that Parabellum represents a creative economy subsector focused on fashion, particularly in developing tactical uniform models commonly used by military personnel.
"This local fashion isn’t just for the military. Civilian enthusiasts can also adopt this style, allowing the military-look fashion concept to develop its own niche and continue evolving in the future," said Dessy.
Parabellum itself has operated as a specialty store focusing on tactical gear since 2020. Initially catering to the military, their products have gradually gained popularity among the general public, especially those who favor the army look style.
"Our products meet military specifications, not just fashion aesthetics. We believe we can compete with international brands because our fashion components meet global standards," explained Tommy, Creative Director of Parabellum.
