Bekasi, 18 April, 2026 – The creative economy is closely linked to the younger generation. The Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency (Ekraf) recognizes that this potential requires support from various stakeholders to drive the national economic growth engine forward.
The Minister of Creative Economy, Teuku Riefky Harsya, served as a speaker at the Save My Generation Conference 2026 workshop held at the Rhema Building Convention Center, Bekasi, West Java, on Saturday (April 18, 2026).
Through the Save My Generation Conference 2026 workshop, the Minister of Creative Economy, Teuku Riefky Harsya, shared insights with the younger generation to become more creative, character-driven, and impactful toward Indonesia Emas 2045. The Minister highlighted the importance of a supportive ecosystem, ranging from training and access to financing to intellectual property protection, so that creative economy practitioners can grow sustainably.
“The trend of youth engagement in the creative economy is extraordinary, opening real opportunities and creating quality jobs. Essentially, the Ministry of Creative Economy aims to elevate local works and brands to become national champions and eventually go global. Make creativity an action, innovation a solution, and contribution the ultimate goal,” said the Minister of Creative Economy during the workshop session at the Rhema Building Convention Center, Bekasi, on Saturday (April 18).

Furthermore, the Minister emphasized the importance of the younger generation’s courage to initiate and develop their creative ideas into sustainable businesses. As an initial step, young creators who already have works or products are encouraged to register their Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) to ensure protection of their creations.
“Indonesia does not lack talent and creative ideas. Let us dare to start creating from today through GEMPAR to foster collaboration. In addition, we must ensure that every work delivers sustainable impact to society,” added Teuku Riefky before nearly 500 members of Generasi Muda Pembaharu (GEMPAR) Indonesia.
Under the theme “Elevate to Impact,” the workshop also featured Special Staff to the Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure as well as national motivator, Merry Riana, as a speaker. She shared perspectives on the meaning of “impact” in creating works and building businesses.

“Impact is simple—there must be a difference before and after our presence. The indicators are whether the works, businesses we build, or actions we take are useful, beneficial, able to move others, and capable of creating real, sustainable change,” said Merry Riana.
Merry Riana also encouraged the younger generation to take bold steps and not delay opportunities. She emphasized the importance of showcasing one’s talents with confidence.
“Remember, life is an opportunity. Never waste it or wait for everything to be perfect before starting. Bring out your talent, do your best, and believe that every small step can lead to a big impact. Every day is an opportunity to act without delay on what God has entrusted to us,” she added.
The Ministry of Creative Economy remains committed to expanding collaboration with communities, creative industry players, and regional governments to realize the creative economy as a new engine of growth from various regions across Indonesia.
