Bogor, June 11, 2025 – President Prabowo Subianto officially inaugurated the Bhinneka Tunggal Ika Campus of the Universitas Pertahanan in Sentul, Bogor. Minister of Creative Economy, Teuku Riefky Harsya, was also present at the inauguration ceremony.

In his speech, President Prabowo emphasized the need to prepare the young generation who will one day become future leaders. He mentioned the importance of education in determining the success of a nation.
"The young generation, those who will eventually take our place on this stage. I believe that educational institutions are the ones that determine whether we succeed or fail as a nation," said President Prabowo during the inauguration on Wednesday, June 11, 2025.
President Prabowo also praised the presence of the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY). This is because the establishment of Universitas Pertahanan was originally initiated by President SBY.
“President SBY had a far-sighted vision. His actions as president included thinking about future national leaders,” President Prabowo added.
Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky echoed President Prabowo’s statement by highlighting the Ministry’s efforts to strengthen human resource capacity, particularly among the young generation in the creative economy sector. This aligns with one of the key pillars of the 8 Asta Ekraf—Talenta Ekraf, which focuses on capability development to improve the welfare of creative economy actors.
Minister Teuku Riefky further affirmed that the Ministry of Creative Economy is strongly committed to creating quality job opportunities for young people. According to data from Statistics Indonesia (BPS) in 2023, the majority of creative economy players in Indonesia are under the age of 40, reflecting the great potential of this generation as the driving force of the national creative industry.
As a human resource development accelerator, the Ministry of Creative Economy has collaborated with various partners, including those in the technology sector. One such initiative is a partnership with Google and Unity to provide training in new technologies for animation and game development, supported by artificial intelligence (AI).

Additionally, the Ministry has strengthened cooperation with academic institutions through the signing of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with five universities across Indonesia. This partnership forms part of a hexa-helix approach that involves academia, business, community, government, media, and financial institutions in developing the creative economy ecosystem.
“This collaboration is in line with President Prabowo Subianto’s direction on the importance of cross-sectoral partnerships in strengthening Indonesia’s creative economy competitiveness. Universities play a strategic role in conducting research and providing education that supports innovation,” said Minister Teuku Riefky.
