Before attending the Public Entertainment Stage, Minister Teuku Riefky also made a direct visit to Rumah Batik & Sulaman DW in Mangguang Village, North Pariaman. The local community, engaged as artisans, has been running gold thread embroidery businesses passed down through generations, producing embroidery motifs manually with high attention to neatness, detail, and quality to preserve the distinct characteristics of Minang clothing and shawls.
“I have also seen the creative economy potential in North Pariaman City. I was taken to Mangguang Village, which has the creative Aras embroidery tradition. There is already community empowerment here, where residents have become artisans, helping improve the quality and development of the fashion subsector,” explained the Minister of Creative Economy.
