Jakarta, June 23, 2026 – Minister of Creative Economy/Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Teuku Riefky Harsya, received representatives of Mitra Seni Indonesia (MSI) to discuss the upcoming MSI Arts Festival & Bazaar 2026, an event dedicated to preserving and promoting Indonesia’s cultural heritage while unlocking its potential as a driver of the creative economy.
Minister of Creative Economy, Teuku Riefky Harsya, received representatives of Mitra Seni Indonesia (MSI) at the Ministry of Creative Economy office in Jakarta on Tuesday (June 23, 2026).
“We see this festival as a consistently organized event that brings together a wide range of creative ecosystems, including fashion, crafts, culinary products, and the arts,” said the Minister during the meeting at the Ministry of Creative Economy office in Jakarta on Tuesday (June 23).
MSI serves as a platform for enthusiasts, practitioners, and advocates of Indonesian arts and culture. The MSI Arts Festival & Bazaar 2026 is designed not only as a space for cultural appreciation but also as a vehicle for strengthening the creative economy ecosystem by involving various creative subsectors, ranging from fashion, crafts, and culinary arts to performing arts.
The Minister emphasized that the festival’s consistent implementation has become an important asset in expanding networks and creating economic opportunities for creative practitioners. According to him, initiatives such as the MSI Arts Festival & Bazaar go beyond exhibitions by providing learning opportunities and capacity-building programs for artists and cultural practitioners.

The Ministry of Creative Economy is mandated to support the development of various creative sectors, with a primary focus on strengthening ecosystems to ensure sustainable commercialization,” he explained.
Scheduled to take place from July 21–23, 2026, at Graha Jalapuspita, the festival will carry the subtheme ‘Rampak Melayu’. The theme highlights the importance of unity amid cultural diversity while celebrating Malay culture as one of the foundational influences on Indonesia’s language, arts, literature, fashion, customs, and architecture.
Acting Chairperson of MSI, Hesti Indah Kresnarin, stated that the festival will showcase the richness and harmony of Indonesian arts and culture through performances representing the western, central, and eastern regions of Indonesia, many of which are the result of MSI’s training and development programs.
