Jakarta, February 4, 2025 – Minister of Creative Economy/Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Teuku Riefky Harsya, received an audience from the Indonesian Contemporary Art and Design (ICAD) at the Gedung Film Pesona Indonesia, Jakarta, to discuss collaboration for ICAD 2025, which is set to take place in October 2025.
During the meeting, Minister of Creative Economy Riefky stated that the collaboration with ICAD 2025 presents an excellent opportunity to promote various creative economy subsectors, enhance Indonesia’s creative economy ecosystem, and strengthen Indonesia’s position as a nation rich in culture and creativity. He sees this partnership as a strategic step to raise public awareness and appreciation for art and culture while also promoting Indonesia as an attractive destination for tourism and investment.
“The collaboration with ICAD 2025 is a great opportunity to promote various creative economy subsectors, improve Indonesia’s creative economy ecosystem, and reinforce Indonesia’s position as a country rich in culture and creativity,” said Minister of Creative Economy Riefky.

Minister of Creative Economy Riefky also added that this collaboration would contribute to the 500 Years of Jakarta agenda. Ministry of Creative Economy will coordinate with stakeholders, including the Jakarta Regional Government, to ensure the success of this initiative.
“This collaboration will also support the 500 Years of Jakarta agenda, which aims to establish Jakarta as a more dynamic and attractive event city, with Ministry of Creative Economy curating the events to be held in Jakarta,” added Minister of Creative Economy Riefky.

Meanwhile, ICAD Founder Diana Nazir expressed her delight in engaging in discussions with the Ministry of Creative Economy and hopes that this collaboration will strengthen synergy between the government and creative economy players to enhance Indonesia’s creative economy ecosystem. She believes that the potential for collaboration with Ministry of Creative Economy is significant, especially regarding the 2025 programs that have been outlined. The ICAD Founder also hopes that Ministry of Creative Economy will provide strategic support, such as the facilitation of permits and promotion, to help ensure the success of the community.

During the audience, Minister of Creative Economy/Head of the Creative Economy Agency Teuku Riefky Harsya was accompanied by Deputy for Cultural and Design Creativity, Yuke Sri Rahayu. Also present at the meeting were ICAD Founder Diana Nazir and her team.
