Jakarta, March 10, 2025 – The Minister of Creative Economy/Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Teuku Riefky Harsya, explored potential collaborations in the culinary sub-sector with Accelerice. Minister of Creative Economy Riefky emphasized the importance of this discussion in identifying collaborative opportunities with the Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency to ensure sustainable impact.

Kemenekraf bahas potensi kolaborasi dengan Accelerice untuk memperkuat ekosistem kuliner kreatif dan mendukung inkubasi usaha di desa-desa kreatif, Jakarta (10/03/2025).
“The collaboration between the Ministry of Creative Economy and Accelerice is essential in positioning the creative economy as a new engine of national economic growth, starting at the regional level. There are 15 priority locations for creative economy development that can be synergized, including culinary incubation in creative villages,” said Minister of Creative Economy Riefky during the meeting held at the Pesona Indonesia Film Building, Jakarta, on Monday, March 10, 2025.
Accelerice is an Indonesia-based food and beverage startup accelerator that empowers and advances food innovation and culinary businesses. It plays a vital role in building a robust food value chain ecosystem by engaging stakeholders across various sectors.

Minister of Creative Economy Riefky noted the initiatives undertaken by Accelerice are particularly promising. He cited, for example, the potential to collaborate with trendsetting snack brands and specific communities to penetrate global culinary markets. He highlighted the importance of curating both existing products and ongoing programs to identify areas for further development.
“What’s interesting about the creative industry is its potential for cross-subsector collaboration. However, this kind of large-scale effort cannot be done alone. We must understand that every creative economy player—particularly in culinary—operates within a value chain that includes creation, production, promotion, distribution, and consumption. From there, we can prioritize which aspects to focus on first and then formalize it through a Cooperation Agreement (PKS),” Minister of Creative Economy Riefky explained.

The collaboration can leverage the four pillars of Accelerice’s ecosystem: Food Startup Indonesia Accelerator (FSIA), Rak Sebelah, One Stop Solution, and Foodbuzz ID. One key discussion point in the meeting was FSIA’s success in supporting the growth of food startups by providing mentorship and access to networks within the food and beverage industry—ensuring a sustainable food ecosystem with clear business guidance for culinary development in Indonesia.
Meanwhile, Axton Salim, Director of PT Indofood Agri Resources, expressed his appreciation for the engagement with Kemenekraf, viewing it as an opportunity for the culinary sub-sector to expand its business scope.
“Accelerice serves as a bridge for innovators, entrepreneurs, and industry partners committed to fostering an ecosystem that supports the growth of food and beverage businesses. We aim not only to help scale up culinary businesses, but also to gain access to data on culinary communities and creative village areas—enabling us to map out potential creative hubs already in place,” said Axton Salim.

At the same event, Deputy for Cultural and Design Creativity, Yuke Sri Rahayu, emphasized that the culinary sector contributes significantly to the economy and offers vast opportunities for investment and innovation.
“In creative villages, culinary is one of the strongest potentials. However, the challenge arises when local culinary products face high costs to enter broader markets. We need to find ways to ensure these local products can continue to thrive,” said Deputy Yuke.
Also present at the meeting were several Ministry of Creative Economy officials, including Deputy for Strategic Development of the Creative Economy, Cecep Rukendi; Director of Culinary, Andy Ruswar; Director of Funding Access and Investment Development, Anggara Hayun Anujuprana; and Director of Marketing System Development and Institutional Relations, Radi Manggala.
