Jakarta, 25 September 2025 — The Ministry of Creative Economy continues to support President Prabowo Subianto’s vision, particularly the creation of quality jobs for young workers. Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya emphasized these efforts in a meeting with Junior Chamber International (JCI) Indonesia.

“The third point of President Prabowo’s Asta Cita is being realized continuously: increasing quality employment, promoting entrepreneurship, developing the creative industries, and continuing infrastructure development. Naturally, supporting entrepreneurship aligns with JCI’s mission, making it a priority area for potential collaboration in upcoming activities,” said Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky during the meeting at Autograph Tower Thamrin Nine, Jakarta, on Thursday, 25 September 2025.
Minister of Creative Economy Riefky also elaborated on the Ministry’s role in developing the creative economy, particularly through seven priority subsectors: culinary, crafts, fashion, games, apps, music, film, animation, and video, supported by strengthening the value chain across five stages: creation, production, distribution, consumption, and conservation.

“We aim to make the creative economy the new engine of growth, a new driver for national economic growth starting from the regions. The Ministry of Creative Economy’s achievements over the next five years will be measured by employment, value added to GDP, export value, and investment across 17 creative economy subsectors,” Minister of Creative Economy Riefky added.
Deputy for Strategic Development of the Creative Economy, Cecep Rukendi, noted that collaboration potential continues to be explored as part of the hexahelix model, strengthening synergy between government, business, academia, communities or associations, media, and financial institutions.
“We continuously pursue collaboration in the hexahelix concept with ministries, businesses, academics, communities, media, and financial institutions to create quality jobs and strengthen youth leadership, such as what can be achieved with JCI,” said Deputy Cecep.

JCI is an international youth organization operating in nearly 100 countries with approximately 140,000 members worldwide. Its members, aged 18–40, focus on leadership development, entrepreneurship, community empowerment, and international relations. JCI Indonesia has over 1,000 members across chapters in Jakarta, Medan, Padang, Bandung, Solo, Yogyakarta, Semarang, Surabaya, and other major cities.
“JCI is a leadership development organization focused on youth and leadership growth. This meeting is extraordinary in showing how JCI can contribute to Indonesia’s development and strengthen collaboration with the Ministry of Creative Economy for the future,” said Teguh Panjireza, National Secretary General of JCI Indonesia 2025.
JCI will also host the National Convention 2025, an annual event gathering members from across Indonesia and the world to share ideas and collaborate on creative solutions to social and economic challenges.

“We also invite Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky to officially open the National Convention and present during the event, which will be held on 16–17 October 2025 at Hotel Padma Semarang. Additionally, we invite Deputy Minister Irene Umar to participate in the pre-event, featuring a talk show on business matching, pitching, and coaching aimed at stimulating the economy in Central Java with a target of 200 participants,” said Jeffrey Sugeng, JCI Semarang representative.
During the meeting, Minister of Creative Economy Riefky was accompanied by Special Staff for Research, Education, and Institutional Relations Dian Permanasari and Head of Creative Economy Human Resource Development Center Siamwahyuni. From JCI, Vice President International JCI assigned to Asia and the Pacific Michael Sanjaya and the leadership team were also present.
