Minister of Creative Economy, Teuku Riefky Harsya, received an audience with Gig Life Pro at the Office of the Ministry of Creative Economy, Jakarta, Thursday (12/2/2026).
“The Ministry of Creative Economy prioritizes seven subsectors, including music, for the next five years. “Indonesia has a music subsector with highly promising talented individuals. The challenge lies in how to transform this strength into sustainable economic value through collaboration, ecosystem strengthening, and access to global markets,” added Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya.
The audience meeting also focused on the importance of regional cooperation, particularly within Asia, as a strategy to expand market reach while opening opportunities for Indonesian talents to perform on the global stage. For example, the momentum of Music Awards Japan 2026, organized by CEIPA (Japan Culture and Entertainment Industry Promotion Association), should be optimally leveraged by creative industry players engaged in the music subsector.
