Jakarta, July 2, 2026 – Minister of Creative Economy/Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Teuku Riefky Harsya, encouraged graduates of the 49th Graduation Ceremony of STIAMI Institute to become drivers of the creative economy through innovation and entrepreneurship. He emphasized that the younger generation plays a strategic role in creating jobs and strengthening Indonesia’s competitiveness on the path toward Golden Indonesia 2045.
Minister of Creative Economy/Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Teuku Riefky Harsya, attended the 49th Graduation Ceremony of STIAMI Institute at Balai Samudera Hall, Jakarta, on Thursday, July 2, 2026.
Delivering the keynote address at the 49th Graduation Ceremony of STIAMI Institute, Minister Teuku Riefky highlighted that the creative economy is built upon ideas, creativity, and adaptability.
"The creative economy is fundamentally about young people and ideas. As creative, visionary, and adaptive digital natives, Generation Z and Millennials possess tremendous potential to produce innovative ideas that transcend cultural and national boundaries. In this era of digital disruption, graduates are challenged not only to become job seekers but also to create new employment opportunities," said Teuku Riefky in Jakarta on Thursday (July 2).
The Minister stressed that Indonesia’s demographic bonus, expected to peak in 2045, should be leveraged by strengthening the creative economy as a key driver of job creation. With more than 53 percent of the population projected to be of productive age, the creative economy is well-positioned to absorb graduates and young professionals while addressing the challenge of unemployment among those aged 15–39.

The characteristics of Generation Z and Millennials—creative, adaptive, and technologically savvy—are well aligned with the needs of the creative economy. This is reflected in Indonesia’s creative economy workforce in 2025, where Millennials and Generation Z account for 63 percent of creative economy practitioners.
"Young people must become agents of change who connect knowledge from universities to society, industry, and global markets. Therefore, I would like to leave our graduates with three important messages for achieving Golden Indonesia 2045: continue learning in the face of rapid change, have the courage to create opportunities by becoming job creators, and uphold integrity with strong character," the Minister emphasized.
To support this vision, the Government continues to strengthen the creative economy through the Asta Ekraf, eight strategic policy priorities covering data development, regulatory reform, talent development, infrastructure, intellectual property, financing access, market expansion, and hexahelix collaboration.

In addition, the Ministry is preparing the Creative Economy Flagship Program 2027, which includes the activation of creative villages, development of creative hubs, the Creative by Indonesia initiative, assistance for creative production facilities, and the strengthening of institutional capacity and creative economy diplomacy.
"We fully support the direction of the Ministry of Creative Economy and hope that the graduates of the 49th graduation ceremony will seize the opportunities within the creative economy sector to become highly competent and integrity-driven human resources," said Sylvia Murni, Rector of STIAMI Institute.
