Minister of Creative Economy Encourages Synergy with LKBN Antara to Strengthen the National Creative Economy Ecosystem

Jakarta, 6 October 2025 — The Ministry of Creative Economy is exploring collaboration with LKBN Antara to strengthen Indonesia’s national creative economy ecosystem. This planned collaboration aims to broaden promotional access—from regional to international levels—for Indonesia’s creative economy players.

Minister of Creative Economy, Teuku Riefky Harsya, was a guest speaker on the “On The Record” program with LKBN Antara at the Antara Heritage Center, Jakarta, on Monday (October 6, 2025).

“Antara has consistently highlighted the potential and creative works of our nation’s youth. Media plays a crucial role in ensuring that Indonesian creative products are recognized, not only domestically but also internationally,” said Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya during an audience and as a guest on LKBN Antara’s program “On The Record” at the Antara Heritage Center, Jakarta, Monday, 6 October 2025.

The meeting aimed to introduce the role and potential of the Ministry of Creative Economy while discussing strategic collaboration opportunities with the state news agency, which has been active for nearly nine decades.

Minister of Creative Economy Riefky expressed his appreciation for LKBN Antara as a national news institution that has consistently supported nation-building through public information dissemination over the past nine decades.

“I want to appreciate LKBN Antara, which has for nearly 88 years delivered important news for the nation’s struggle and development, earning recognition worldwide,” said Minister of Creative Economy Riefky.

The Minister of Creative Economy emphasized that Antara is a strategic partner of the Ministry of Creative Economy in developing Indonesia’s creative industry. According to him, the creative economy ecosystem cannot grow without collaborative support among government, business actors, academics, financial institutions, communities, and media.

Director of News, LKBN Antara Irfan Junaidi, welcomed the visit. He highlighted Indonesia’s creative economy as having tremendous potential to introduce the nation’s identity on the global stage.

“The potential is enormous. If maximized, the creative economy can not only drive the domestic economy but also serve as a channel for Indonesia’s cultural diplomacy globally,” said Irfan.
