Minister of Creative Economy Explores Collaboration with BeRest to Bring Creative Economy Practitioners Closer to the Market

Jakarta, 18 September 2025 – The Ministry of Creative Economy and BeRest are exploring a collaboration to connect creative economy practitioners through an application that provides services across all 17 subsectors of the creative economy. This collaboration focuses on developing several programs under the Asta Ekraf framework.

Menteri Ekonomi Kreatif, Teuku Riefky Harsya, menerima audiensi dari platform inovatif BeRest.id, Jakarta, Kamis (18/09/2025).

“Collaboration with BeRest can be channeled through Pasar Ekraf, enabling creative economy practitioners from various regions to access the BeRest platform to market their services. Through Talenta Ekraf and Sinergi Ekraf, for example, collaborations with photography associations can showcase their services and open market access from nearby regions. Additionally, Ekraf Data could be explored with BeRest to strengthen data capabilities within the Ekraf hub,” said Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya during an audience with the innovative platform BeRest at the Ministry  of Creative Economy office in Jakarta on Thursday, 18 September 2025.

Since its establishment in 2024, BeRest has been accessible to all economic classes. The platform is designed to help service providers maximize promotions while making it easier for users to find the services they need.

“The benefits of BeRest are truly needed by many. We need to scale this application so that more creative economy practitioners can list their services on BeRest. We can also collaborate by promoting the app to increase its user base,” added Minister  of Creative Economy Riefky.

As a digital application, BeRest provides equal employment opportunities for both rural and urban communities. Currently, the app offers home services (construction workers, door specialists, locksmiths, plumbers, AC technicians, and domestic helpers) and educational services (computer, music, and academic subjects). Additional services will be available, particularly related to each creative economy subsector.

“Creativity is a new engine of national economic growth. The Ministry of Creative Economy can help curate creative economy practitioners and scale up or verify services across subsectors to be displayed through BeRest,” emphasized Ministerial Expert on Strategic Issues Gemintang K. Mallarangeng.

“Our hope is that Indonesia’s creative market will not be dominated by Artificial Intelligence (AI). We want to help the Ministry of Creative Economy ensure that service providers in the creative sector can easily access their markets. We encourage all creative economy practitioners to use BeRest to promote your services,” said Edbert.
