Jakarta, April 10, 2025 — Legendary Indonesian artist Titiek Puspa has passed away, leaving a deep sense of loss for Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya.

The beloved artist passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 10, 2025. Minister Teuku Riefky described Titiek Puspa as having left an everlasting artistic legacy for Indonesia’s creative industry.
“Eyang Titiek Puspa was a legendary artist and a source of inspiration across generations. Her works will continue to live in our memories and resonate throughout the history of Indonesian music and cinema,” Minister Riefky said.

Born Sudarwati on November 1, 1937, in Tanjung, Tabalong, South Kalimantan, Titiek Puspa began her career as a singer.
Her name soared with her phenomenal works, and she became known as a multitalented figure in film and theater, significantly influencing Indonesia’s creative industry at home and abroad.
