Jakarta, July 1, 2025 – President Prabowo Subianto served as Inspector of the Ceremony during the commemoration of the 79th Bhayangkara Day (the anniversary of the Indonesian National Police) at the Monumen Nasional (Monas). President Prabowo highlighted the pivotal role of the Indonesian National Police (Polri) in advancing national development agendas.

“I would like to express my gratitude for the hard work, dedication, and sacrifices of all members of the Indonesian National Police in maintaining stability and security, enabling us as a nation topursue major development agendas. The true aspiration of independence is not only for Indonesia to be free, but also to become a sovereign nation in all aspects and to achieve prosperity founded on justice,” said President Prabowo during his remarks at the ceremony in Monas, Jakarta, Tuesday, July 1, 2025.
President Prabowo noted that the Indonesian National Police must remain a key player in safeguarding the nation’s wealth and maintaining the trust of the Indonesian people, while consistently prioritizing public interest.

“The Police are the forefront in protecting the nation’s wealth and its people. Let’s continue this struggle and maintain public trust so that the Police always place the interests of the people above all else—happy 79th Bhayangkara Day. The ceremony was also attended by members of the Red and White Cabinet, including Minister of Creative Economy, Teuku Riefky Harsya. In supporting Indonesia’s economy, the Police also hold a fundamental role in ensuring a safe and orderly environment during national economic recovery and acceleration. The Ministry of Creative Economy continues to collaborate across ministries and institutions, including security agencies, to promote the growth of the creative industries.

“The National Police are not only law enforcers, but also protectors and supporters of creative industry activities in Indonesia. The Police can play a role by providing permits, facilitating events, and ensuring security. In this way, public trust can be strengthened, making the Police more innovative and responsive. This year’s Bhayangkara Day carried the theme “The Police for the People”, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between the Police and citizens to create a safe and harmonious environment. Beyond the formal ceremony, the celebration featured police demonstrations, robotic showcases, troop parades, and various cultural performances. Visitors also had access to free public services, including mobile Samsat services, issuance and renewal of driving licenses (SIM), vehicle registration documents (STNK), police clearance certificates (SKCK), free healthcare services, including mass circumcision, as well as the Symphony of Unity concert.

The event was also attended by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, 6th President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY), 10th and 12th Vice President Jusuf Kalla (JK), 13th Vice President Ma’ruf Amin, 6th Vice President Try Sutrisno, People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR) Speaker Ahmad Muzani, Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces General Agus Subiyanto, and other distinguished guests from various sectors.
