Recently, Minister of Creative Economy Riefky has initiated hexahelix collaboration through meetings with various stakeholders. As a follow-up, Minister Riefky received a delegation from the Halal Product Assurance Agency (BPJPH), the Food and Drug Monitoring Agency (BPOM), the Indonesian Culinary Business Association (HIPMI Culinary Indonesia or HCI), and Sour Sally Group at the Pesona Indonesia Film Building, Jakarta, on Wednesday, March 19, 2025.

The meeting began with the signing of a Master Franchise Agreement between Sour Sally and investors from the Philippines. Minister of Creative Economy Riefky stated that his presence at the event was to show support for the development of Indonesia's halal products in the global market. He hopes this can serve as an example for other local brands.

"The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the implementation of programs from the culinary subsector, in line with the government’s efforts to boost Indonesia’s creative economy and position it as 'the new engine of growth,'" said Minister of Creative Economy Riefky.

He further emphasized that hexahelix collaboration, which includes engagement with academics, entrepreneurs, communities, the government, and the media, is crucial for the development of local brands. He believes that Sour Sally’s latest step could be replicated by other local products to achieve global recognition.

"Hexahelix collaboration is essential for developing local brands. We hope Sour Sally’s efforts can inspire other local brands to become major players in the global arena," Minister of Creative Economy Riefky added.

Sour Sally's founder, Donny Pramono, highlighted the importance of halal certification behind their product's expansion into international markets. He believes Indonesia can become a leading player in the global halal industry.

In response, Haikal Hassan Baras, Head of BPJPH, praised Sour Sally's success. He pointed out that halal certification not only guarantees the halal status of products but also opens up broader economic opportunities and markets, thus increasing the product’s added value.

"We commend Sour Sally for developing yogurt into a successful global brand. This proves that Indonesian halal products have significant potential to compete on the international stage," said Haikal Hassan, accompanied by Deputy Head of Halal Partnerships and Standards at BPJPH, Abdul Syakur.
