Bandung, February 10, 2025 – The 17 subsectors of the creative economy, ranging from fashion to intellectual property, hold great potential but cannot thrive without legal certainty and clear regulations. This was emphasized by the Minister of Creative Economy/Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Teuku Riefky Harsya, during his attendance at the Indonesian Advocates Congress (KAI) in Bandung.

"The creative economy is currently one of the key pillars of national economic growth. However, without clear regulations and legal certainty, creative industry players will face various challenges, including intellectual property protection, investment issues, and business development hurdles," said Minister of Creative Economy Riefky at the 4th National Congress of KAI, held at The Trans Luxury Hotel, Bandung, on Monday, February 10, 2025.
Minister of Creative Economy Riefky stressed that legal certainty is a crucial factor in the development of Indonesia’s creative industry. According to him, a strong creative economy ecosystem must be supported by clear regulations and legal protection for industry players.

The 4th National Congress of KAI is expected to serve as a momentum for the government, businesses, and legal stakeholders to collaborate in creating a conducive legal ecosystem for national economic growth.

The event was attended by Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) and Supervisory Board Member of KAI; Anindya Novyan Bakrie, Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin); Edward Omar Sharif Hiariej, Deputy Minister of Law and Human Rights; and several other prominent figures and government officials.
