Minister of Creative Economy Holds Audience with ASICI to Maximize Creative Workforce and Creative Economy

Jakarta, March 20, 2025 – The Minister of Creative Economy/Minister of the Creative Economy Agency, Teuku Riefky Harsya, received an audience from the Indonesian Cyber Content Industry Association (ASICI) at the Pesona Indonesia Film Building in Jakarta on Thursday, March 20, 2025. The meeting discussed plans for a strategic collaboration aimed at building a sustainable creative economy, which remains a top priority for the government.

Minister of Creative Economy Riefky appreciated ASICI’s initiative to explore strategic collaboration in enhancing local intellectual property based on culture and the creative economy, as well as advancing National Intellectual Property Rights. This collaboration is expected to accelerate the development of outstanding and certified creative human resources (HR). ASICI is encouraged to improve digital literacy, the digital economy, and cybersecurity.

"The potential of this collaboration will help us create outstanding and certified creative human resources," said Minister of Creative Economy Riefky.

Through this audience, Minister of Creative Economy Riefky emphasized that the cooperation is designed to enhance the competitiveness of Indonesia's creative workforce on the international stage, boost non-physical exports, and create job opportunities for the younger generation. This is in line with the vision of Golden Indonesia 2045.

"Our goal is to enhance the capabilities of Indonesia's creative workforce so they can compete internationally, increase non-physical exports, and create jobs, in line with the vision of Golden Indonesia 2045," Minister of Creative Economy Riefky added.

Meanwhile, ASICI Founder Board Member Ardian Elkana expressed deep appreciation for Minister Riefky’s data-driven approach and commitment to building a creative economy in the regions. He emphasized that this initiative would accelerate the development of certified and superior creative human resources and foster sustainable growth in the creative economy. ASICI also plans to coordinate in areas with a significant youth base to increase job opportunities and promote the creative economy as a new engine for economic growth.

"This collaboration will accelerate the development of certified creative human resources and drive the sustainable growth of the creative economy," said the Director of Avigra Group.

During the audience, Minister of Creative Economy Riefky was accompanied by Deputy for Digital Creativity and Technology, Muhammad Neil El Himam.

The Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency, under the leadership of Minister Riefky, aims to create 27 million jobs, particularly for the younger generation, over the next five years, with a focus on creating quality jobs.

With the assistance of Irene Umar, Deputy Minister of Creative Economy/Deputy Minister of the Creative Economy Agency, Minister of Creative Economy Riefky is pushing forward the 17 subsectors of the creative economy to fulfill the vision and mission of the Prabowo-Gibran administration, particularly the Asta Cita goal number 3, which is to increase quality job opportunities, promote entrepreneurship, and develop the creative industries.

Through strengthening the ecosystem in a hexagonal approach, the Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency is confident it will become the new engine of growth for the national economy, starting from the regions.
