Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya welcomed the initiative. He assessed that the high frequency of concerts by Indonesian musicians in Malaysia serves as a strong indicator of regional market interest in the nation’s creative works.

“This is very positive. Almost every month, there are concerts by Indonesian singers in Malaysia with a strong and positive response. We also see market potential not only in Malaysia, but across various other countries. There is a demand for diversity, and the works of Indonesian musicians are among those sought after,” said the Minister of Creative Economy.

He added that this momentum demonstrates that Indonesia’s local heroes are increasingly competitive in penetrating regional markets and expanding the reach of their works to the global stage.

“The Ministry of Creative Economy is ready to collaborate and provide support through various forms of facilitation, ranging from cross-agency coordination, strengthening promotion, to facilitating strategic partnerships,” he added.

INT X Enterprise is a company established in 2019, which began its operations in Malaysia before expanding to Indonesia as a sister company. The company operates in marketing communications, production house services, as well as music and publishing. It has organized several concerts of Indonesian musicians in Kuala Lumpur, receiving positive market responses.

In his presentation, Creative Director of INT X Enterprise Indonesia, Jerry Hendrik, outlined the 2026 plans, which include a cross-country collaborative album project, the organization of concerts featuring legendary Indonesian bands in Kuala Lumpur, as well as exploring opportunities to stage performances at the Malaysia Philharmonic Orchestra as one of Malaysia’s prestigious music venues.

“We aim to bring Indonesian works to Malaysia with the highest quality while building sustainable collaboration among industry players from the two neighboring countries,” said Jerry.

Meanwhile, Director of Film, Animation, and Video at the Ministry of Creative Economy, Doni Setiawan, assessed that the collaboration would have a strategic impact on strengthening the overall creative economy ecosystem.

“What is interesting is that this is not merely about concerts or collaborative albums. Moments like this create tangible impacts across the entire music industry ecosystem, opening opportunities for the industry value chain and related subsectors. This also serves as proof that the creative economy continues to grow and is becoming the new engine of growth, not only at the national level but also internationally,” said Doni.
