Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya attended the International Java Jazz Festival 2026 at Nice PIK 2, Tangerang, Saturday (30/5/2026).

“Java Jazz demonstrates that a festival is not only about presenting high-quality musical performances, but also about providing a platform for creative economy players to grow and reach wider markets through the works and products they showcase,” said the Minister during his visit to the International Java Jazz Festival 2026 at Nice PIK 2, Tangerang, on Saturday (30/5).

Organized by Java Festival Production, the International Java Jazz Festival has been one of Indonesia’s largest music festivals since its inception in 2005. For more than two decades, the festival has consistently featured musicians from Indonesia and abroad, becoming an integral part of the development of the national music industry.

In recent years, Indonesia has increasingly been recognized as a host for international-scale festivals and performances. This reflects the growing capacity of the national creative industry, including event organizers, creative professionals, supporting infrastructure, and businesses involved throughout the event value chain.

“When thousands of people attend a festival, it is not only the music industry that benefits. Economic activity is generated across multiple sectors simultaneously, including culinary businesses, transportation, accommodation, and creative services. That is why festivals such as Java Jazz play an important role in strengthening Indonesia’s creative economy ecosystem,” the Minister added.

The International Java Jazz Festival 2026 takes place from 29–31 May 2026 at Nice PIK 2, Tangerang. The strong turnout of festivalgoers reflects the public’s enthusiasm for live music performances and serves as a positive indicator for the continued growth of Indonesia’s music industry.
