Jakarta, January 16, 2025 – Minister of Creative Economy/Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Teuku Riefky Harsya, officially inaugurated the Garis Poetih Raya Festival, a collaborative event between the Ministry of Creative Economy and Indonesia’s top fashion designers.

"My appreciation goes to Ivan Gunawan for providing a platform for Indonesian designers to develop ideas, enhance creativity, and promote elegant, modern, and high-value modest fashion," stated Minister of Creative Economy Riefky during the festival's opening on Thursday, January 16, 2025.

Ivan Gunawan, the Founder of the Garis Poetih Raya Festival, initiated this event as a strategic effort to advance Indonesian fashion and strengthen its position on the international stage.

Minister of Creative Economy Riefky emphasized the Ministry of Creative Economy commitment to fostering the growth of Indonesian fashion through collaborations with local designers. The goal is to make Indonesian fashion more expansive, diverse, and competitive on a global scale.

"The Ministry of Creative Economy seeks the support of all parties to drive the growth of the creative economy in line with the President’s mandate. Let's make the fashion industry a locomotive of the creative economy by collaborating with Indonesian designers to advance our fashion sector," said Riefky, who was accompanied by Yuke Sri Rahayu, Deputy for Cultural and Design Creativity at the Ministry of Creative Economy.

Meanwhile, Ivan Gunawan expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Creative Economy for collaborating in organizing the event. He believes the festival provides a valuable platform for creative economy players to showcase their works, especially in welcoming Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr.

"The concept of the Garis Poetih Raya Festival is designed to welcome the holy month of Ramadan. As a creative economy enthusiast, I would like to thank the Minister of Creative Economy for the collaboration and support in making this event happen," said Ivan Gunawan.
