Jakarta, June 26, 2025 — The Ministry of Creative Economy presented the achievements and challenges in implementing its flagship program, ASTA EKRAF, during a working meeting with members of Commission VII of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) at the Nusantara I Building, Parliament Complex, Jakarta, on Thursday, June 26, 2025. The Ministry has engaged in collaboration with other ministries and relevant stakeholders to realize the goals of Asta Ekraf.

Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya explained that the successful implementation of Asta Ekraf requires robust data and adequate funding to develop more targeted policies for creative economy growth in the regions.
"On strengthening data, we are preparing a collaboration with the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) for the 2026 National Economic Census, conducted every ten years. In addition, we are working with the Ministry of Law to compile intellectual property data for creative economy practitioners across Indonesia. This is crucial to ensure that sectoral data — which is currently scattered and unsynchronized between central and regional levels — can be more seamlessly aligned," said Minister Teuku Riefky during the meeting, which followed up on discussions held on April 30, 2025.
The Minister also reported on SINERGI EKRAF, which has produced 28 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and 2 Cooperation Agreements (PKS) with strategic partners, both domestic and international. One example is an active Joint Decree (SKB) with the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) that provides the legal basis for establishing Creative Economy Agencies at provincial and municipal levels nationwide.
"The Ministry’s four main targets are: boosting creative economy exports, increasing creative economy investment, creating creative economy jobs, and raising the sector’s contribution to GDP. To achieve these, we need to refine financing schemes tailored to the characteristics of creative industries and strengthen fiscal incentives to attract investment in certain creative economy sub-sectors," he added.
During the meeting, Minister Teuku Riefky also presented the achievements of the Ministry’s eight program clusters under ASTA EKRAF: Ekraf Data, Ekraf Bijak, Talenta Ekraf, Infra Ekraf, Sinergi Ekraf, Pasar Ekraf, Dana Ekraf, and Ekraf Kaya.
Responding to the presentation, meeting chair and House Commission VII Chairperson Saleh Partaonan Daulay stated that the session aimed to shape policies and programs that foster a robust creative industry ecosystem in Indonesia.
"We urge the Ministry of Creative Economy to improve financing accessibility for creative economy entrepreneurs, particularly inclusive financing for persons with disabilities, women, and indigenous communities. The Ministry must also promote the development of cooperative-based creative economies in the regions," Saleh said.
"Additionally, the Ministry should continue to work with other ministries and agencies to strengthen awareness of intellectual property rights (IPR) among creative economy entrepreneurs, enabling them to be used as collateral," he added.

Minister Teuku Riefky was accompanied by Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene Umar as well as echelon I and II officials of the Ministry. From House Commission VII, the meeting was attended by Vice Chairs Evita Nursanty, Lamhot Sinaga, and Chusnunia Chalim, along with other Commission VII members.
